Vraenea: Capital City
First topic message reminder :
Throngs of Spires lined the city walls like snow capped mountain peaks of bleached white stone reaching for the sky, which covered in an ever present wisp of steam which formed thick clouds that covered the city. A series of scaffolding and catwalks reaching outward allowing the various Sky ships to dock, loading and unloading cargo as the city bustled with life. The capital itself was sectioned off into three tiers each with its own walls and gates almost as if each were a separate walled city. The lowermost, filled with stone houses crammed together forming narrow alleyway and streets which was broken occasionally by a canal which ran north to south from the eastern portion of the town penetrating all three-tiers. Lined along the canal were various stalls and bazaars allowing for ease of trade, before the water spilled naturally into a nearby river that snaked across the land and emptied into the sea.
The buildings formed a labyrinth of alleys and cobbled streets which lead throughout the city. Though the main road lead straight as an arrow from the southern gate, which was protected by a large iron studded doors and three portcullises, which were lowered in times of war though for now they were left perpetually opened allowing free travel to and from the city. The main road traveled through even the second tier and the palace itself [which was barred to the public]. Homes and business alike were built upward stacked upon themselves with various bridges and Docking Statoins so that smaller transport vessels may ferry passengers from one building to the next.
The Grand Cathedral modeled in gothic-style a series of towers, flying buttresses, and spikes could have been seen from the main gate loomed over the surrounding buildings like a sentinel. Each spike as is a guard standing at attention wielding a long spear, guarding, protecting large arches and narrow bridges. Adorned with windows of stained glass which stood taller than some of the buildings of the lower tier.
The middle tier, was as expansive as the lower though buildings were more sparse and the space more open, filled with the keeps of the nobles each build as impressive as the next and almost rivaled the cathedral in grandeur, seemingly castles of their own tract of land of gardens and freshly manicured grass and ornate sculptors as if each were in a race to outdo their neighbor a show of power and wealth. Each with their own guards-house and men they employed to patrol their walls. A large square of tiled stone and fountains was opened to the public, filled with stalls of finery and other goods not found in the bazaars below. Here large stores could be found of more esteemed craftsman who preferred their own buildings rather than sharing space with their neighbors, beyond the square the road lead towards the palace gates—and beyond the palace itself.

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
All the fighting and screams of the dying made the girls heart pound, threatening to burst right out of her chest. She had to pause for a moment to take it all in. The archers had been picking off anyone who had come to her aid and it seemed as if the end were near. She could tell Minna to unleash hell but the group was still surrounded by innocent civilians whom could be consumed by any wayward attack. After all the last thing she needed was more death on what was once a joyous day. Blue eyes darted from armored man to armored man watching bolts fly towards her comrades as more and more poured into the area. What fools these would be kidnappers were. Attacking in broad daylight with guards all around her? They were either brave or idiotic to even think of attempting this but it was at least thought out. She shot a sideways glance to the approaching royal guards, pleased they finally showed up to assist her. Her attention snapped to whatever was above her, the flickering shadow on the ground Alerting her to the falling net above her
She threw an arm over her head expecting to feel the sting of the heavy material slamming into her arm but looked up to see raime holding the net with the best of his ability. Do it. The words rang out in her head, pressing her to defend not just herself but her comrades and citizens. She was the target after all and if her people could see her stand up to this threat it could restore their faith just yet. She readied her left hand, the remnants of the silken glove falling to the floor as brilliant flame filled her palm. She had no time to care if the art of pyromancy was taboo in this land, the art proved its use to her and her mastery over her flame would allow her to control just who would be harmed by its cleansing heat. She inhaled sharply, her eyes slamming tightly shut, feeling her will gather in her core making that flame in her hand burn brighter and increase in its size. She could hear the voice of the priest and kept his presence in mind. He would not be harmed, nor would anyone other than the would be kidnappers. Instead they would be surrounded in an intense heat whose flames would lick their skin harmlessly. Bringing that hand down, slamming it into the ground, a pillar, about a meter in diameter and a foot taller than a man appeared in front of her, only for another to appear and the first to disappear just as quickly. These pillars rose and fell on a fast path to the armored crossbow users, surrounding them in flame that would sear their flesh under their armor, catching any exposed fabric on fire. Between the flame and the bolts deflected back at them she was sure they would be killed.

Upper City
Each balloon had been manned by a squad of four men, one to steer the other to man the net launcher and another pair of crossbow men who were intent on fulfilling their orders, a flurry of bolts fell like rain as they unleashed their unbiased assault—though to their dismay the missiles had missed their mark, or the bolts simply slid of the smooth surface of steel, instead they would focus their sights aiming the point at the gaps between the armor , a difficult task considering the distance. Their baskets listing almost lazily in the sky as they began to hover over the small group to see the results of the nets, which seemed to blanket the princess and her small entourage though before they could begin reeling in the net and make off with their prize anther had made their appearance. Alyrion, the Shining Lance of Yuria. It was to be expected after all- though still that would put a damper on their plans. The black hand could consider themselves lucky to have gotten rid of one captain with a timely distraction, but he was soon replaced by another; who immediately when on the offensive, quickly dispatching one of the crossbowmen before hurling another lance up at the basket itself and to their relief it zipped they could almost feel a heat radiate from the line it had left.
Though at this they would see a small window to strike, and potentially complete their mission—but they were greeted with yet another setback. The High-Priest, they almost missed him if not for the faint golden glow which illuminated the surrounding mist. Though they did not have much time to take note of who it was before they were pelted with their own bolts. The presence of the two would surely have been enough to make The Black Hand abort their mission and disappear into the shadows, some had already began to retreat into the surrounding buildings and alleys. The brave indeed remained, willing the risk of capturing the princess was worth the cost, any who were successful would have been elevated instantly within the organization. And so when the crossbows now longer appeared to be effective the men drew their blades, or rather what appeared to be simply as hilts an a long beam of light flickered into existence as the remaining men began to charge the princess, cutting down any who stood in their way and making off with the pri…
That’s what they WOULD have done if the princess herself were not so easy of pray the pillars of flame caught the men off guard and the remaining were engulfed in flame. Fire clung their clothing quickly melting away the black leather, skin stripped from bone—oils bubbled and fats melted away, revealing bone. Though that was not the worst of it. Their screams were ungodly, and filled the darkness like bats in a cave. Leaving nothing behind but a pile of ash. And as the first of the men transformed into giant pillars of flame, the rest turned tail and ran in an attempt to escape. The balloons themselves seemed untouched by the flames and were already in full retreat quickly rising in an attempt to get out of range from any would be attacks, before disappearing into the cloud of steam which naturally lingered over the city.
The calamity soon passed, the damage had been done, both sides coming out with significant losses though it seemed the city-watch came out slightly worse for wear as they were caught by the surprise of the attack and their own captain was nowhere to be seen.
Castle Gate
The Knight offered the boy a sight nod as he introduced himself, black eyes studying him for a moment before examining the damage which had been done to the surrounding fields. The water had cleared some of the crops – yet those were done for anyway, and most of the damage had been contained to the initial impact of the ship and of where the shallow trench followed in its wake. There was also the matter of the ship itself which seemed to activate on its own accord. In response to the Elementian Destroyer, quite possibly considering the one arrived right after the other. Eyes narrowed as the male looked up towards the sky noting the strange vessel it was unlike any of the air-ships that the male had seen and it seemed to have come out of nowhere. “Well Alphonse, you have my thanks.” His attention was turned once more as the boy indicated the city and he slowly turned to face the direction of the plaza. From the main gate is it was a straight shot all the way to the upper-city and the large column of smoke joined in the surrounding mist. It seemed that the current elation of putting out one fire quickly subsided—in light of possibly another. A soft sort of breath touch his lips. And his thought were drawn immediately to the princess that had been left behind though he was confident in his men’s ability to keep her out of harm as well as her retainer .
“You are right, I’m afraid that proper greetings will have to wait. Drustain will see to you accommodations…” He motioned towards the Second, who promptly joined them. “See that they are given what was promised—and see to things here. I do not want any to go near the ship for the time being at least until we can determine it’s purpose.” The man nodded before setting off to complete his task. Slowly Siegfried moved towards his mount anxious to return to the square as quickly as possible and assess the situation.. Though before he could do so it seemed another group had decided to make their appearance.
A small scouting vessel had broken away from the main Elementian ship and set a course straight for them…
Elementian Destroyer
The general’s orders still lingered about the air as the men set forth to complete them, the task had been given to one such man, who stood idly by awaiting orders. He needed no second command as he stepped into the small the small vessel. Five and total. The ship shook as it was released and quickly fell towards the earth, reverse thrusters kicking in moments before impact slowing them to a halt. The ship landed in a small clearing away from the main road though it would have been clearly visible to the party that was gathered there. Engines whirled softly and legs slowly extended from along the ships underside as the ship came to ha halt The male had been standing the entire time scarcely seeming to move, thoughts racing. The general’s words ringing in his head. ’Do not attack.’ he knew very well what their mission was, though it seemed that might have been easier to accomplish had they simple raised the city to the ground, and so he fumed silently, though he was unlikely to go against Fang’s orders, not wanting to face their general’s wrath.
Shwooomph.. the doors released a soft hiss as the slid open and a metal ramp was lowered to touch against the ground upon hydraulic arms. And the male slowly stepped out. Dressed in standard issued gear or Elementian armor and a white cloak which fluttered lightly behind him as he made his way down the bridge. Quickly, he looked over the people , and the ship it was obvious that the one they were looking for would be hiding amongst them and from the looks of things he would have required their assistance after his.. landing.
“I would to speak to the one in-charge here. A fugitive has escaped to your city and under Elementian law we are to retrieve him.”
He spotted the captain—who had already given up on returning to the plaza…
Galvery
The guards would indeed be looking for the male, wanting to question the male as quickly as possible there was no telling if the man himself posed a threat and he would have to answer to the damage caused by his ship, even if it was not entirely his fault. The few guards who could have been sparred began by searching the likely of places- before they fanned out throughout the surrounding city though finding one man throughout the entire city was more or less finding a needle in a hay stack. One guard turned down the alley that Galvery had turned down , though before he rounded the corner a sudden noise caught him by surprise.
“I got something over here!” A voice called out and the guard turned to run off—after the strange noise. [Which incidentally had been a cat kicking over some waste bins.]

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
Alphonse would hardly have considered himself a boy. But he was younger than most travelers might have been. And while he was part of a group, he knew that they would soon enough part ways and he would be on his own once again. The workers might even settle in the city if business was good. Alphonse, all the while, had his own objective and this was likely going to be a temporary stay.
His head turns and those eyes have to widen at the sight of the incoming vessel. It was a large one. He had seen such ships before in another place. His own home dimension was not nearly so advanced. And yet it seemed different planes of existence had their own sets of technology and how advanced they'd be. He shakes his head as he thinks on whether or not they would be friends or foes. It was discomforting to say the least. To be faced with a race of people who could possibly destroy this Kingdom just by staying in the skies above.
"No problem." He replies a tad dryly as he looks back to what he had indicated. The city was smoking from the inside. Had something happened? An attack of some sort? He could help. He just needed to get into the city and put the fire out....but should he? The indecision came as Alphonse grappled with the idea of helping out. No. He should stay out of their way. Mind his own business and be on his way. He didn't need to get involved. He was ready to depart as well when a smaller vessel descended down to earth level. The alchemist frowned and turned to face the armored soldiers. His eyes narrow as he hears the authoritative tone in which this soldier spoke now. A fugitive? There had to have been someone who crashed the ship. A chase?
His head was starting to hurt as he thought on speaking up. But he was not a Captain here. His brother was not here to take charge. There was no Captain Elric around these parts. Alphonse was in a foreign land. He thought to leave it all be and go about his day when the urge overtook him. "Why is this person a fugitive?" He had no right to question the foreign power. But it was a familiar powerplay Alphonse was familiar with. A large ship hovering over a Kingdom that had no way to defend itself. It was all too familiar and discomforting at once.
The alchemist thought of what could be done. Siegfried could give up the fugitive and allow these "Elementian" people to be on their way. Or he could have argued that these Elementian's laws did not extend to this Kingdom of Yuria and they had no jurisdiction here. But that could have lead to the Elementian people attempting a take over in search of this fugitive.
It was a mess, to put it lightly. But Alphonse would not be deterred. He stood his ground and awaited to hear what this fugitive was accused of.

Upper City
Alyrion watched as the men drew their blades and prepared to fight as the realization that their crossbows were outmatched here. He stepped forth and another pebble burst into a brilliant lance of energy contained in his hand; a pure energy blade. His actions, however, were near immediately became unnecessary as the men burst into flames, skin and fat boiling from bone and agonizing screams echoing throughout the courtyard. Beneath his helm, Alyrion's eyes widened as he located the epicenter of the attack, flames radiating out from the Princess. It appeared in her absence that she'd become quite the formidable combatant.
The energy lance faded slowly as he watched the remaining members of the abduction party retreat with what numbers they had left and he allowed himself to revel in the small victory. He tossed his head back and laughed with emotion only a soldier could possibly comprehend.
”Tuck tail and run, scoundrels! The Princess of Yuria will not allow you to take her so easily!”
The Shining Lance of Yuria lifted his face plate and allowed the cool breeze to blow across his skin as he quieted down and considered the situation. An organization clearly operating within' the kingdom has decided to plot against the nobility. Not to mention the disturbing news of a highly advanced ship appearing near the gates, received as he was dispatched. Times were looking dark here in Yuria.

Castle Gate
The ships ramp dropped and Naerfi followed close behind as his fellow soliders departed the vessel. The entourage of foreign people here at the ship told that, already, the man they were looking for was already gone. Possibly even already in the hands of these backwater people. Of course, it was very possible he'd made a run for it, for he doubted these people could stand up to an Elementian. An aura of arrogance surrounded him. The way he held himself and the condescending glare that spoke of boredom and superiority. The party reached the bottom of the ramp and the lead man addressed the group gathered about the other, smaller ship.
Naerfi scoffed quietly as he stood off to the left of the main contingent. Wind grabbed at the edge of the cloak that wrapped him, teasing at the armor beneath, but never revealing it. His fine raven tresses dancing in the light breeze as he watched the young male speak about the man for which they were searching. He strode to the side of the man and spoke before he had the chance.
"The nature of this man's crimes are none of your concern. Pity if we should have to locate him through force because of a child who knows not how to hold his tongue. Make your choice wisely, boy."
His whole body tensed as he waited for a reply, one wrong word capable of sending him into a violent rampage. Naerfi would raze the whole damned city, if he had to.

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
The priest was about to return another volley when the men that had assailed they square suddenly burst into a golden light as large torrents of flames began to erupt from the ground and engulf them their cries ringing in his ears even long after they were gone and no more than a pile of ash. Dust in the wind. They were soon carried away by a subtle breeze the same that had pushed the balloons and the smoke away from the plaza. A few remaining bolts then tumble and rattled against the ground as they were released from his hold. The aura seemed to flicker slightly as tendrils of smoke began to climb along the outer-reach almost like ivy creeping along a wall before dispersing. The male reached out tentatively with his third-eye and the life force of those within the square became visible to him, some faint a mere shimmer while others extinguished completely. Thankfully most of the townsfolk were merely knocked out from the gas rather than full of holes. He knelt at the nearest guard, bells ringing as soft and sorrowful sound as if mourning the dead. Yori studied the body a moment before reaching out and placing a hand against the males chest. He would be unable to heal the man due to the effects of the lotus though he could at least remove the poison and let nature run it’s course the strong would survive their wounds while the weak would perish. Such was the way of life. He reflected a moment, and the aura which surrounded him wavered slightly, bending and twisting as it began to surrounding the male in its shimmering light. And four pupils peered straight into the male through the thin veil; separating the poison on a molecular level and expelling it from the body a black mist soon rose before simply dissipating into the air. He did this for the remaining men, though whether or not they would live depended on their own bodies and whether or not the bolts had struck anything vital.
Once he was finished, he spied the princess and slowly made his way towards her though it seemed that the royal guard had already seen to getting the net off of her. And with a slight nod that very well could have been a bow. “M’lady. I had hoped that we would be running into each other at the Lunar Dance. Though, we will have to postpone I believe, in light of this. Slaughter. Funeral rights will be given to the men at the Grand Cathedral. It would mean much to the people if the Royal family were in attendance.” Of course this would take time to prepare, time to tally up the bodies, time to prepare their coffins bring news to their families. A subtle sigh slipped past thin lips, he was feeling drained once everything was said and done though he did not let it show.
“Come with me my children, let us pray in this dark hour…” and he began to head back towards the cathedral bleeding a trail of incense, and like lamps to a Shepard the townsfolk began to follow. While some members of the church saw to the bodies.

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
It seemed that the peace of the city was interrupted once more as the small shuttle-vessel landed upon the ground just a short distance from them. Just one thing after another. A crashed ship, fire within the city. It was hard to judge from his current vantage a looming ship and now these newcomer. Darkened eyes watched as the door slid open and the first of the men called out to them and spoke of a Fugitive. It was quite obvious due to the timing on who they were referring to even still the Guard Captain did not really like the tone of his voice. Commanding, as if their alien laws somehow held weight over them and now they were demanding for this person to be turned over to them. And so it feel onto Siegfried to deal with these Elementians , or rather he would have if the boy did not speak up first.
The Captain motioned towards his second and ordered the male to take a few score men to the source of smoke in the Upper-City, assist with the situation and to report back with a rider at once with news of what was happening. His thoughts drifted once more to the princess and the rest of the town though for the moment it seemed that he had other matters to attend to he allowed Alphonse to question these newcomers curious as to what their response might be.
What kind of men were these foreigners? Though it seemed Naerfi had mistaken Alphonse for one of authority in the matter. And despite himself a warry smile stretched across his lips, he studied their ship, their men, their armor and while it seemed that their technology far surpassed that of the Kingdom- A show of power, a threat of what might happen if they decided to cross them. Perhaps that would explain for their arrogance. Eyes narrowed slightly at the thin threat—and he stepped past Alphonse positioning himself between the boy and the vessel.
“Would you have us turn over their entire kingdom at your word?” he questioned, though his tone was in half-jest. “As it happens , the man you’re looking for is no longer in our care. And he will have his own crimes to answer for once we locate him, such as the destruction of that field.” He motioned behind the men, waiting to see if they would grasp his meaning.
____
Xenos stood at the top of the ramp as the others began to descend he had wanted to deal with these beings himself though it seemed that the others had insisted on voicing their own opinions, violet hues narrowed slightly at Naerfi’s words and while the man had voiced his own thoughts. Xenos was much better at hiding it. The city should be up in flames already, well more so than it already had been. Yet the General had told them not to attack a rather pointless gesture as fare as the Maju was concerened and now they were forced to exchange words with these lesser beings. He stepped outward, metallic boots clicking against the ramp before stepping out onto the soil, did Naerifi want to handle this? Well he would let him, let him make a mess of things.. So he could clean it up.
He studied the boy and the captain before lifting a single hand , a gesturing for silence perhaps. He did not need to look towards the h field to know that the damage was there the scent of smoke was thick in the air.
“I concede your point..” the words were sour in his mouth. Though he figured a more tactful approach might win their favor. “Of course you will be compensated any collateral damages. If he is no longer in your charge then he must be hiding in the city. Let us rid you of this pest and you shall be granted his bounty.”
Perhaps they would make more progress playing nicely.

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
The sight of the large ship arriving had certainly rustled some of the otherwise less technologically advanced people outside of this kingdom. The work force that Alphonse had arrived with were flabbergasted by the sight of the large vessel landing. Much less so by the.....representatives who came down the ramp. Several of the men were busy reaching into the wagons to pick up weapons. If it was a battle that these invaders were looking for, they would get one.
Alphonse, all the while, did his best to look neutral as the insult came. Perhaps he had spoken out of turn but he had just arrived to this Kingdom and already foreign invaders were coming to possibly destroy this town for some criminal. Still even as the one known as Naefri spoke with a haughty authorative tone, snidely calling him a boy and threatening this kingdom with violence. It was a threat plain as day. There was no smugness in Alphonse, but the frown marring his face said it all. The young man stood up straighter, a tenseness to his shoulders, as he just watched them all the more warily. His right index finger twitched in agitation and his golden eyes narrowed as he regarded the one who had spoke to him. His right eyebrow rose as the other informed him to choose wisely on what he said or did next. Perhaps the facial expressions would antagonize the other but he stared all the same. This one seemed all too eager for a fight. If need be, Alphonse would have to take him out first.
His arms came up then, one crossing over the other, as he stood straight. His eyes flickering from these new foreigners to the Captain as he stepped in-between Alphonse and the Elementians. That was likely for the best. Alphonse had been the most diplomatic of the two Elric Brothers, but that did not mean he would turn the other cheek if this Elementian decided to disrespect or even choose to fight him. He was ready to respond in kind, perhaps reply that the Yuria people had a right to know what kind of criminal they had in their city, before the Captain and the leader of this alien entourage came to an agreement of sorts.
The one who had crashed his ship was a criminal. And he needed to be taken out of the city as quickly as possible. That was the real danger. The real problem. And as soon as he was taken out of this Kingdom, the sooner these foreign invaders could leave as well.
"It might be better for this Kingdom to deliver him to you. Have the local guard search everywhere he could be hiding while your people wait...outside of the city. It would be quicker than having your soldiers search a city that they are unfamiliar with." He couldn't keep his mouth shut it seemed. Even if one of these Elementians had threatened him. It wasn't an order. Just a suggestion for all. He had no authority here. But he was involved whether he liked it or not. He might even help with the search if he was asked.
And the truth was, he was certain that the Captain would agree. Letting a foreign army into the city itself might very well condemn the citizens to death if these Elementians decided to turn on the Kingdom of Yuria and start burning everything to the ground. And that couldn't happen, right?

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
Most his existence he has led a simple soldier’s life till the day he caught luck and the position of councilor opened up on the Hypo-Fang or otherwise General Fang’s personal destroyer. At that time there weren’t many councilor if any positions in the Elementian Invasion Force or E.I.F, which rumor had it that there were talks of mass homicide-suicides throughout the Corp. due to the mental pressures of such a life. The nearly 100 year old Maju hoped on the opportunity, though by human standards such age is life altering, but an Elementian it was considered their “50”. Not one much for fighting after a lifetimes worth he liked to use his words as weapons instead and so he went with the away team to meet the leaders of this odd civilization. Gui`dari was his name and once he saw things were getting a little heated the councilor had a duty to perform, w9hich he’d step out from behind the two leading the expedition with a half heart smile. Side glancing the two he says, “As the commander has so…delicately….put there are..” He would finally look upon the Yurians and one outsider, though he act more in the favor for this civilization than his own well being; which, the Lt-Major found admirable.
Speaking first to the captain Gui`dari says, “I assure you we have no ill will towards you or your people. We only want the fugitive Galvery.” Looking over to the seemingly youth with long blonde locks and he replied, “He is a dangerous thief that had stolen a royal relic, which potential can unlock one of the most destructful forces in the multiverse if in the wrong hands and it has definitely ended up in the wrong hands.” Looking between the two of them he gives both of the men sympathetic looks saying, “I understand that you must take care of your own and that you must come across as an authority to even those that might threaten you.” Gesturing to the other two he adds, “They are soldiers first and for most and would rather raid your kingdom, but our C.O is a sensible individual and by his good graces we haven’t bombarded your homes with cannon fire.” Biting his lower lip the Elementian adds, “For your sakes allow at least one of our officers to go with you if nothing else but to observe an inform to sate our curiosity of your civilization. As said before your kingdom will be well rewarded and even trade between our peoples could be possible.”
Bowing slightly he shows respect to the others as he says, “I am Lt-Major Gui`dari.” Standing tall at a staggering 5’10”, which is short amongst Elementians he once again smiles. Such emotions are normally learned by Elementians and with that same enthusiasm, “Councilor of the E.I.F vessel Hypo-Fang.”

Capital City
It was finished, Alyrion watched as the commotion soon returned to the normal bit of scurrying the citizens did as they hurried to clean up the mess that had come about. It was such a strange thing to see. Terror in the face of an attack, but utter dedication to making things right after the turmoil had been dealt with. He did not approach the princess, it was not his place and the priest had this taken care of. Instead, he busied himself with checking his men; all three alive and no worse for wear.
At this time, he would take his leave. The squadron of four moved uniformly passed the Princess and young priest, bowing their heads respectfully as they made their way back to the castle. Time to report to the Queen.

This kid must be joking. That was the only thought that he could have had on the subject as he watched the boy respond to his words. Credit was due, to say the least. The boy was no coward, willing to stand his ground to a man that stood easily twice his height, though he was still considered small by Drazvock standards. Still, he shook his head as his eyes closed for a moment as he thought about simply closing the distance and tearing the boys head clean from his shoulders. That, however, wouldn’t do. Instead, he’d goad him into coming to him. Alas, it was not meant to be.
Xenos chimed in as he always had a tendency to do, his words of diplomacy and compensation, causing Naerfi’s stomach to churn. Though he knew the man shared similar, if not the exact same, thoughts about how they should handle these people. If not for the orders handed down, the city would already be ablaze.
The captain moved between the boy and the ship and his words went right passed Naerfi. His gaze was narrowed on the boy, his anger focused in his direction. That gumption to do combat had sparked in him a feeling of war. And then the boy spoke about the soldiers of their own kingdom bringing the criminal to them. Naerfi tossed his head back and let out a mighty roar of laughter, his hand lifted to clutch his chest.
”D-do you actually b-believe you could capture and detain one of US!?”
As quickly as the laughter started, it was over. His gaze now encompassed both the Captain and Alphonse. Naerfi was about to deliver some bad news to the group, but he was abruptly interrupted by Councilor Gui`dari. He'd quiet himself down and allowed the Lt-Major to speak. Of course, allow was a strong word since it was coming from an superior officer. Naerfi stood by, blood boiling and thoughts of Alphonse's head on a pike.

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
One thing after the other, he barely had time to clean up one mess before something else had happened, not to mention the one named as Galvery had already slipped from their grasps, he briefly wondered why the man was not kept in a cell or under constant supervision until he had gained consciousness. Not to mention what had been going on in the upper-city. The Captain of the City-Watch it felt like a bad joke at this point. A subtle breath slipped past his lips as Xeno spoke seemingly catching onto his meaning . Compensation though in reality the captain was almost willing to pay that amount and more just to make them go away. And while his house was not the most wealthy among the nobility he came from a long-line of knights, most having distinguished themselves in battle and have risen to such ranks. With it’s own healthy treasury though he preferred to live on a guards salary, and to sleep in the barracks with the rest of his men. To him they were more than just subordinates, and it was his duty to ensure their safety. He listened as Alphonse as he spoke once more and offered a suggestion at how they might come to an accord it sounded reasonable however the one known as Naerfi merely scoffed at the notion.
It was kind of off-putting how the man simply looked through as well and looked at the boy with such animosity, slowly he shook his head not wanting the situation to escalate much more than it had already. He counted the numbers and even tried to catch a glimpse of any who may have still been aboard the ship. “I’m sure we can do much more than that,” he ventured, chin tipping upward as he looked towards the large ship which had been looming just overhead it would have been bad if a fight broke out, the men, Siegfried was confident that he would be able to handle. The ship on the other-hand was unlike anything he had seen and was also capable of interstellar flight- and was so large that it made the imperial- fleet look like a mere skiff. Though just as things were beginning to get to the breaking point the Counselor broke in to calm the situation. Merely one or two.. He listened to the other’s words as he spoke of the man in question. The men that his own guards had taken into custody just moments before, tended to his wounds, and let slip through their fingers.
And there was the matter of the artifact itself if it was as dangerous as Lt-Major Gui` Dari had made it sound it would be ill-fortune if something like that were to go off in the city. Fear of the unknown as one might put it. He waited until the other had introduced himself before offering his own in return. “I’m am Siegfried, captain of the City-Watch.” It was as much as needed to be said. “We will allow your group to enter- and also lend whatever resources are at our disposal to aid in this capture. Though your actions will be monitored.” He waited to see how they would take that, before proceeding. “He can’t have gone far with his wounds and we can send tracker to catch his scent.” Unless they had another method of locating him. Snippets of Galvery’s clothes as well as his blood still stained the infirmary it would not be too difficult for one of their creatures to track. He did not like the idea of letting in so many, but it seemed the better of the options.

Xenos merely watched as the others conversed, feeling time slipping away from them and the longer they stood around exchanging useless conversation the further that Galvery would get away from them though it seemed that his words had reached the Captain and they were close now to reaching some sort of an agreement. Eyes narrowed slightly as the brute had spoken and when he felt the tension between them starting to rise he spoke once more. “Naerfi.” A single word, a single name. “Would you defy a direct order from the general?” The question was more of an inquisitive one in reality wanting to gauge what kind of man was assigned to him though he already knew the answer to that, the two were one in the same if the other a little dull.

Re: Vraenea: Capital City
He frowned as he heard the sudden laughter from this foreigner. Alphonse was no better. He had just arrived to town himself. But there was a difference between arriving on a cart and arriving in a massive ship that could travel between entire planets. The advancement of technology was still baffling to the alchemist.
His right eyebrow rose as he just listened to the laughing soldier who seemed to think himself better than Alphonse. While the alchemist was not a prideful one, he couldn't help but feel annoyed at the sarcasm of the other male. The sheer arrogance would get the man killed some day. Of that Alphonse had no doubt. His brow furrowed as the other spoke of this Kingdom being unable to detain a single person. Even if he was of the stars. The arrival of the Councilor allowed not only Alphonse but these soldiers to be more well informed as to who they were dealing with. A thief? With an item that could destroy a "multiverse"? It sounded like a mission to undertake.
But he was no Royal Guardsman for the Kingdom of Silvermoon any longer. He was not an Agent from Nexxian City anymore either. And he had no authority here.
What was most concerning to Alphonse wasn't the thief. It was the soldiers who had arrived at this Kingdom. They would rather raid than help? That was discouraging and immediately raised his concerns. He thought to voice his concerns before deciding against it. The captain's head shook at him. No. There would be no conflict today. Not when a Kingdom could very well be annihilated if they made enemies of these newcomers.
The captain's head shake along with the Elementian commander's stern voice when speaking to this Naefri said it all. None wanted a fight. And yet Alphonse could not help but watch this Naefri with a curious expression on his face. A frown on his face as he just assessed the one who had thought to antagonize him into throwing the first punch. Alas, it was not meant to be. Alphonse Elric was not the hot headed one of his family.
"Captain Siegfried." He would speak up then just after the Captain had given his own terms on these Elementians entering the city and when things might look complete. "If it's okay, I would like to go with my comrades to our lodgings. The men are probably tired from being on the road as long as they have been." Which had been for quite a good while. They had been traveling to find a suitable place for work. Alphonse had only joined them for a short while. This would likely be where they parted ways. "If you could have a soldier accompany us that would be nice, sir. Afterwards we'll know where to go."
His head turned to assess these Elementians, no doubt gauging every single one for just a moment, before he nodded his head at Siegfried. If he was requested to stay then Alphonse would stay. Perhaps his alchemy would be needed. Perhaps not. But if not, he would turn his back on them all and go to see to his fellow workers. More importantly, he'd turn his back on this Naefri as though he didn't matter. As though the staring contest and barbs they had said to one another didn't matter at all. And he'd get himself away from this situation that likely didn't need his involvement.
He was here to work. Not help people.
