Song of Deliverance Empty Song of Deliverance

Post by }-{Circe}-{ Wed Dec 17, 2014 2:28 am

At eventide's approach, the sun deliquesces behind the trees and shadows lengthen...the dusky sound of singing voices drifting in accompaniment—feminine voices blended in disturbing harmony. Keen air whistles like flutes as it passes through groves of juniper and ash, bird cherry, stands of bare-backed linden, hazel, and thickets of sweet-smelling pine. The singing grows progressively louder, a chorus as melodious as it is uncanny.

Above the slope of turf punctuated by the sparse scattering of goat willow, the lake seems to peer out at the surrounding area. A vast sky sweeps wider and deeper than usual, and across it the last smudges of sunset—orchid and lavender—deepen to indigo. Flocculent clouds corrugate the aeriel meadows, but high-altitude winds tease them out into thin strands, until ultimately they are pulled away and apart.

The soft lyrical voices are at home in the shallows, at the foot of the slope, nine damsels in deceptively haphazard sprawl. Some are in the midst of combing their hair; while still others can be seen laving themselves with the chill water of the lake. The gloaming is known for playing tricks on the eye, but these incarnations are nubile and comely, copious tresses green as watercress, flowing unbound to lotus-stem waists. Aside from their luxuriant hair—and the spare embellishment of bracelets and necklaces, lace and ribbons—the damsels are without covering. Pale gleam their shapely limbs, seemingly untouched by sunlight.

Song of Deliverance Empty Re: Song of Deliverance

The Siren-Song drew the beast near. Attuned to the ways of nature, the voices which echoed through the wood-lands seemed to resonate as naturally as Fenris himself did upon the surface. The Lupine like Primoris typically striding through the woods as was his natural environment found himself drawn, but vigilant none the less. It was not a trance, but idle curiosity which drew his attention.

He traversed the land towards the source of the etheric melody as the wind moved throughout the branches. He moved from aside and folded his arms over his chest with dark brows raised as if watching the "free-show" but not approaching or interrupting their ritual, or what seemed like a ritual. Instead he took a swig from a canteen on his side and parked himself upon a boulder shutting his eyes and contemplating the land he currently occupied, as well as those he shared his space with.
