[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Sparrow Tue Jun 07, 2016 8:05 pm

[ 18:52:01 Sparrow cut easily through throngs of merchants, patrons, thralls, vagrants, beggars and thieves. She, unlike others of power and a long history was more interested in being invisible than putting herself on display. She wore a drab olive canvas cloak over dark clothing— the bottom half of her unappealing attire splattered in gray mud likely from the harbors not too far from the current bazaar. Fish peddlers, jewelers, blacksmiths, seamstresses and grocers ignored the russet skinned woman; her short and hastily chopped dark hair shining in the dying light of day in unnatural colors— not unlike polluted water with an oil sheen on its surface. Bare feet kicked away discarded bones, pebbles, the carcasses of small urban animals such as pidgeons, rats and possums. If one never looked down they might think the market was a lively, clean and colorful face as they stepped over the occasional corpses of dead beggars of criminals the local security forces had dispatched.
(Jun 7) 18:52:07 [Sparrow] Sparrow herself was nothing special to see; a woman above average height, dowdy in accoutrements and cloth with a dour face that seemed determined to hold a frown and knit brows. Clear and present hostility. While she provided nothing for the eyes to drink? Almost fifty meters behind her there was something possibly following the path she cut— an enormous amalgamation of metal in all states of quality; some of it new and unprocessed, a few pipes, chrome, iron, nickel and steel loose parts and all of it was tangled in what looked like shining chain made of huge links or ball bearings. Market patrons would have to steer clear of its path or risk injury; its structure perhaps hinting that there was something inside of the tumbling maelstrom— except the way it appeared to roll along may have suggested a form of magnetism. It was also getting larger. Coins, daggers and eating utensils would yank themselves from the bodies of tourists and natives alike to join the ever growing mess.

(Jun 7) 18:56:19 Vann Vann felt his patience dwindling, this creature was starting to remind him more of a delusional hobo than what he claimed to be, yet he had still not hurt anyone. "I admit I am not yet a master of the Eldritch, but I have studied the schools of mysticism and the arcane which is a pre-requisite..." he took out the blue saphire and quartz and thought a moment about how he would accomplish what he had in mind. He focused a slight vibration through the two stones, rearranging their structures slightly and giving them a red hue. "There..." this was done before he suddenly turned to Priya but his expression was veiled by his mask, and then there was the sudden magnetic force. As all the metal in the area suddenly began to clank ominously. "Oh hell..." he said wondering if this boded well. So far things had managed to stay relatively peaceful however, even with the crazy hobo egomaniacal lich and Priya trying to teach him how to act sociable.

(Jun 7) 18:59:23 Kanoelani is not a lich; he didn't ask for this. The cold air exudes slowly from Kanoelani, before it stops and a miasma generates a the rim like an arctic fog. A sudden and instant receding of the aura is followed shortly by the undead being absorbed into his own essence and reduced to a blinking eye for a mere second and finally vanishing. A note falls to the floor; "I have borrowed this mage -- Grand Master of Artifice"

(Jun 7) 19:12:23 Priya bent down to pick up the note only noticing afterwards that the metal stuff in the shop was acting strange. She felt the tug at her belt and of the daggers in her various pockets and straps. “Oh hell.” She muttered, standing back up, as her coin purse was being tugged in that direction also. “Hey, I think we should leave. Like… Right now.” She spoke to Vann as she began to nudge him towards the door of the store, at least so she can get past and get out. Not only could she feel some pull from the metal on her body, but she could feel the rumbling of a giant mass of something on the ground. She tried to look in the direction her sword, her daggers and her money was trying to go.

(Jun 7) 19:21:53 Sparrow - People were staring at the mass; some trying to gingerly run up to it and reclaim their coins, knives and other bits they should have known better than to try and rescue. One man— clearly inebriated— would lose his life to the mass; effectively throwing himself into a meatgrinder over a bit of money he could have earned back within the day at his fish hauling hustle. He was there and trying to carefully dart his arm into the rolling jabberwocky of metal and then, before he could even scream in agony; he was so much meet being churned through its innards. Some of the metal would smear red and the blood would bloom across the construct as its parts ground flesh and rotated; scraping the fluid onto other bits. If any eyes followed the path cut by the sanguine invasion they would be able to watch it travel from one end of the collection of objects to the other. Behind it where loose metal clearly untethered by anything natural— no strings, wires or any other hints of how it worked were apparent and it was -
(Jun 7) 19:21:59 [Sparrow] simply as if the metal desired such a path— bone and bits of skin were left in its wake like refuse. It was far enough from Sparrow that only the most keen and clever would note that it was her that the mass followed. However, those sensitive and psychic to preternatural forces would see the tethers leading to none other than her. She was the smoking gun— and yet she either did not seem to care or was completely unaware of it. Soon enough she would pass whichever store or booth those who had been holding palaver with the lich were in and if they left, they would only lose their daggers and coins even quicker. The closer one got to the mass, the more likely it would confiscate their metals. In the meantime the woman in general was pressing a bandage wrapped hand into her belly and frowning. She was either hungry or she had been injured. There was something dark over the clothes she wore and it was likely blood. Question was— was it fresh or not?

(Jun 7) 19:30:17 Vann "Yes that does seem prudent..." he said in a faint voice as he saw the man eviscerated, splattered, and disintergrated so fast it seemed to be instaneous. He could detect her lack of self-awareness, but her intent, or lack thereof was none the less dangerous. The few coins Priya had spared him the previous night went flying, but there was a surprisingly little amount of metal upon him. He said. "However if you are so keen to help, this seems more important than helping out a crazy revenant, people are losing their livelihood, and worse... And I think it... no... she is injured..." he said as he backed up away from the twister, wanting to keep clear of it for obvious reasons, as he grabbed Priya unthinkingly and dragged her behind a large wooden stall for cover, which was mostly produce. He ducked low, and gathered his will.

(Jun 7) 19:45:41 Priya ducked as something small flew by her head, and then again as Vann grabbed her and pulled her behind a wooden barrier of some sort, some produce stand. Priya found it more and more difficult to stay put though as all the metal on her was pulling her in the direction of the metal amalgamation. “Yeah, looks that way.” She said, carefully trying to assess the speed of the girl and the thing. “I might be able to grab her, hopefully that thing won’t follow. Can you take care of that metal thing?” Priya asked hopefully. It was at that point that a dark shadowy wisp wrapped around her leg, and her knees began to sink into the shadows cast on the ground behind that produce stand. “Ah shit!” She she complained. “Aw hell, I’m sorrryyyyyyyyyyyy!” She called as the spot beneath her opened up into a tube of shadows and swallowed her up, closing immediately, though her voice faded gradually. Regretably, Vann was now on his own to deal with this metallic plight.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Sparrow Wed Jun 08, 2016 1:20 am

The hand over her belly moved slightly as she looked down; grimacing at what was indeed a wound. But, it did not look fresh by any means— in fact, it stank. What was on her palm wasn’t simply blood but other evidence of infection. Sparrow was powerful enough that an obviously lethal blow of some kind hadn’t dispatched her as it should. But that did not mean the weapon had been sterilized and she couldn't suffer a few consequences of that. In the meantime her body was fighting in both natural and preternatural ways to heal the wound. In fact, it had succeeded several times and Sparrow had needed to open her flesh back up. Why? Because an enormous shard of volcanic glass from a spear was still inside of her.

Sparrow had no control over glass and the metallic contents of the material were entirely too low for her to manipulate it. The construct behind her was not something she was intentionally driving but while her fault it was well outside of her control. The metal was gathering as if by instinct through her power; promising a sort of panicked protection if it came down to such a consequence; its grinding, oscillating, shrieking mass seeming to moan “I will not let you fall apart. I will not let your knees bend a last time.” And truly she was only marginally aware of it as the infection resulted in minor hallucinations— here and there the street urchins with dirty faces looked distorted and demonic; her peripheral vision continuously picked up shadows of attackers wielding several versions of the specialized weapon that had been broke inside of her. Now and then ghostly hands threatened toward the wound as if promising to dig into her viscera and pull it out along with that which should stay safely inside.

Clammy skin and still looking unpleasant; she pressed the palm back to her trunk and carried on. No one else got the bright idea of attempting to retrieve their belongings from the rolling metal storm. They’d seen what had happened to the burly fellow who’d made such a ridiculous mistake.

Sparrow thought she saw someone else coming for her; a pair of bodies had moved behind a booth and she turned to it; finally letting her eyes deviate from a stubborn path. Likely another hallucination but she called out anyway toward the former pair and now one.

“I do not have it. Do you hear me? I do not have it and you will not retain my abilities. I am not for sale!” she’d bark; fists clenching in anger and a volatile flaring of hostility. It lent some clues to who had attacked her, after all. Someone wanted an object and they also wanted to put the woman to some use. The abomination now a few meters behind her as she had stopped in her path was clear evidence of why she could be of oh so much use to someone looking for a bit of power.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Vann Wed Jun 08, 2016 2:17 pm

Vann knew that the meager cover he had gained would not hold for long, even in the best of circumstances. He had chosen it due to the minimal amount of metal intrinsic in its construction. They were on the fringe of the city, where things were less developed, but as it stood if this walking disaster did not stop, someone would have to get involved eventually.

He supposed communication was a smarter avenue to start than outright hostility. He was only marginally better than average at "mentology" but he sought to expand his awareness beyond empathy and "feel" her mind through the manifestations enacted upon the material. The "echos of intent" as it were. Even so the interferance and almost gibbering and incoherant state of her mind gave him very little to work with. And he quickly realized assuming he could get past the emotional storm that was driving her actions, he might just make things worse with his "invasion".

Cursing, he found the few remaining coins he had gotten from Priya drawn through the stall. "rat-tat-tat-tat" as they pierced through the wooden frame to join the growing orbital cluster around Sparrow. Wood sprayed but Vann was saved by the nature of his garment, and its ablative fibro-mesh weave. However an idea occurred to him. Breaking off a large sliver of wood, he braced himself for pain and made a nasty cut along his own palm, before running to another stall whose metal was already rattling, seeking to rub his blood upon the objects, and then move behind yet another stall, as he muttered something under his breathe, and his will infused with his shed blood.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Sparrow Thu Jun 16, 2016 7:43 pm

As soon as he began to chant after introducing his blood, Sparrow stopped. He’d engaged one of her passive abilities: a spacial and preternatural awareness of power signatures. It wasn’t the most fine tuned talent as she’d only received half the training needed to utilize it in her early days as a slave along with the other Birds, but it was still useful. Immediately. She became confused— not quite hostile; but she and the churning metal aberrant stopped in the path they were on and turned toward the source of the blood magic...or whatever it may have been. Sparrow could actually feel his incantations activating the vitae and her mind bloomed with it’s path as it spread throughout the grinding metal. Although it wasnt “visible” in the classic sense of the word it spread across her mind’s eye like an aurora.

’What...are you doing?’ she asked; breathing heavily enough that her narrow chest heaved. Sparrow wasn’t buxom at all and indeed looked like she’d done her share of starving. Or it could have been a result of malnutrition— something to do with the infection in her gut. True enough she looked a touch clammy and there were dark circles under her eyes. No strength to eat had been found in days, though; a normal human would have succumbed to their injuries far sooner. Truth is...Sparrow may not succumb at all considering what she was. But that didn’t mean she had the know-how to combat her current symptoms.

’I said, what are you doing?’ Now she and the blood splattered behemoth were turning and making their way toward the booths, or what was left of them after loose metal had punctured and ruined their structures. Coming right for the chanting one, she was. Sparrow could not “see” him but was doing well enough trying to navigate by tracing the source of the power. Then something very interesting would happen— her warm platinum irises expanded to take over the wealth of her sclera and the pupils became white hot as if a wall of molten flame was barely contained behind them. The construct rumbled violently and very suddenly compressed as if smashed by the invisible hands of titans alongside all of the air in spaces between the objects being sucked out. Heat bloomed from the floating amalgamation and the noxious fumes of hot aluminum and iron permeated the area. After, they became two floating creatures of insect-like grace; radium “eyes” scattered throughout a ovoid chassis and glowing along the twenty clawed tentacles they had sprouted.

Golems of a sort. Sparrow had formed sentinels from the metal in less than twenty seconds and converted some of the metal within the collection to highly active power sources. They were horrible and beautiful at the same time— not an example of technology by any means but the will of the dangerous ferrokinetic being who’d made them. And, soon, the chitinous beings trucked their limbs behind the chassis and floated over and around the booth. Unless Vann moved he would likely be spotted by those pinpoints of radium blue.

If the stranger wanted so much to distract all that power from harming the market and its populace he had certainly succeeded.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Vann Thu Jun 16, 2016 8:57 pm

Vann's Sanguinomancy began to take effect, and was noticed by the... Well he was not sure what to call her. She seemed to be some kind of rogue spell-bonder or brand perhaps, or even possessed. Whatever the case he spoke. "Defending my life." he responded, his tone flat but not overtly hostile. She either didn't hear, or did not care, and he found himself channeling his will through the vitae of his blood. This... "Person" was wounded, confused, perhaps he might even feel fear. He did not want to harm "Her?" but he also did not want to die, and she was a very real threat. Hell that was an understatement.

The incantation stopped abruptly as the "seekers" sought their query, Vann already moving through the hap-hazard maze of stalls and hung-fabrics, many upturned in the wake of Sparrows ravenous storm. The effect had destroyed the Sanguinomantic components for the spell, disrupting the conductive link. It was probably just as well. He had a better idea now. Avoiding the ill-forged "modern-art" was going to be tricky, and he would be lying if he said he was not at least a little intimidated. Though he was a prodigy, he was a novice still. He also had no idea what he was dealing with. Was she possessed by a sprite? Was she a mutate or some form of augment? She almost seemed like a spell-bonder or bound-brand.

He ran as he reached for a seal in his pocket, and made a hard right into a large tent, full of fleeing occupants. He managed to fight his way against the throng, stepping over them with surprising agility before throwing himself under a table, slapping the seal on the ground, and smearing his blood upon it. He only had a few of these, they were not easy to make, and his own knowledge of spell-craft was still somewhat limited and a bit over-specialized, but it was... A bit different, and he had a feeling simply flinging energy at them would get him nowhere anyway. A prodigy indeed.

Upon contact the seal would seem to merge with the dirt as he crawled from beneath the table hoping the crowd would provide a distraction as he began to mutter another incantation under his breathe. He was not even seeking to engage the hulks for now, but rather only seeking to stay out of sight, and escape for the time being, circling back for Sparrow. The seal linking his consciousness psychically with the ambient flow of causality, his mind "digging" for something of use within the residual and latent atmosphere of the bazaar. The countless brigands and people who had walked through here, the history was nasty and there was plenty of "psychic-negativity" from the shady deals, deaths, and other things ever present in market.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Sparrow Sat Jun 18, 2016 8:35 am

Some sort of pained moan came from the woman who’s sentinels had frightened the blood-mage (was that what he was? Sparrow assumed as much. She’d met Hæmomancers before in her time and they’d all done something similar. It was more than easy to deduce that the activated vitae hadn't been introduced to her and her machinations without express intent) and she dug dirty fingertips into the stained, drab cloth over her trunk. A grimace pinched her exotic but not exactly “beautiful” features. No one would have been able to pinpoint where she was from on the globe...perhaps she was native to one of the many islands in the Vasten ocean?

’I have not come for your life! How have you made it this far on our mortal coil being so vain…’ she’d bark; however the information relay from her horrible, sea creature like constructs informed her that he was no longer in earshot— he’d dusted after being spotted into some other structure. He might have been shocked that the floating golems with their eerily aware “eyes” made no move to follow him; they simply floated with undue grace and tracked him as he demonstrated fleet-footed desperation.

Sparrow did eventually look in the direction of the tent. Something had given her pause in her delirium and irritation. Something that for all of her cantankerous qualities had bothered her— she was no villainess seeking to spill blood or gain power...why had he acted as if she’d meant to take his life from him? A moment of clarity as she began to blink rapidly; rubbing her eyes after. When her brown hands lowered the pinpoint light from her pupils had vanished back to a normal black void— the floating sentinels returned to her side just as well and hovered at level with her shoulders. There was no panic from the woman but she did seem to be briefly disturbed at the scene she had caused. A hand reached behind her skull and pulled the hood back over her head before she began to walk in the same direction as before. Then, she began to speak.

’I do not seek to harm any of you. Just stay out of my way.’ would be delivered loud enough for those hiding to hopefully hear her and get the message. It was punctuated by a cough and then the sound of retching and yet another groan. Muddy feet began to walk the beaten path between the stalls, shops and wagons again. Sparrow was unfortunately not moving very quickly in her condition and it couldnt be helped. The strange metal guardians appeared concerned with staying close to her— protecting their master, of course.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Vann Sat Jun 18, 2016 10:24 am

Blood-Magic or "Sanguinomancy" as Vann knew it by was something of a rare-art amongst his kind, and had associations with what was typically forbidden by the authorities culturally. Even so, he had initially gotten a pass because his own proficiency was a talent and innate, a byproduct of his lineage. As was the next talent which this one lead into. He certainly had a dark ancestry apparently, that was why he had left the Guild. "Yeah, uh-huh!" he called out. "Just keep talking you poor crazy bit-" did she just accuse him of being vain? Where did that come from.

He stopped suddenly, his inertia carrying him forward as he threw his legs out to stop his dash at her, stopping a goodly distance and his feet sliding kicking up dirt and dust, as he almost tripped from the surrounding metal, but fell to a knee, and braced himself with his arm. He was annoyed, she just came in and ripped through town, he was prepping a damn seal, which were fucking hard to come by, lost all his money, and now she was going to just up and leave?

He stopped the spell.... again.... Instead focusing his mind outward upon the woman, the EM field produced by the creatures and perhaps own presence providing a "signal" for him to relay a message. It would not be an imposition or invasive one, rather the waves propagated in the vicinity were shifted to accommodate the desired message. "I might be able to treat your injury... For a price."

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Sparrow Thu Jun 23, 2016 6:51 pm

A bit of teeth sucking for the half heard talk-back coming from the fellow who’d run away. He’d nearly called her something unsavory. Wouldn't be the first time someone had and thus Sparrow wouldn’t find herself very bothered by it. She only wanted to move; to get out of the market-city and back into the wilds where she felt most comfortable— it occurred to her then that she didn’t remember arriving into such a densely populated area. What had brought her here and why? Where had her memories gone? Surely, she wasn’t left with a complete case of an inability to recall but it was spotty and the pieces missing for the past week or so appeared to be major.

Such as who had wounded her so grievously.

And then there was the fellow from before— Sparrow had never laid her own two eyes on him but those of her “pets” had taken in his physical details and thus she was able to recall them with ease. A rather bothered expression formed over her features and she stopped her slow, laborious trek. Both of her protectors rose higher at either shoulder; as huge as some of the enormous transport wagons and other vehicles tearing through the market at all hours. The beady, neon azure eyes focused on him again and all of those limbs fanned out behind insectoid chassis in a clear and presently protective gesture that kept in tune with the woman’s fists balling up at her sides.

’I carry no currency and I never have. Keep your shallow offer and get out of my way.’ as she spoke the words would echo through the floating constructs with a magnification loud enough to echo. He’d been subtle; she had not done the same. Some of those watching in fear would shrink at the booming, distorted voice which was still quite female but ground down with strange vibrato through metal.

’I do not need your help. Or anyone’s!’

For all of Sparrow’s unintended violence she had made her true goals plain: to be left alone to her devices. However, he refusal to not only accept obviously needed assistance or the reality of a few taken lives within the scrap metal trailing behind her would not be so easily accepted. Someone— a rambunctious and angry youth likely— had taken it upon himself to throw something at the woman. It was a drinking glass from one of the nearby eateries and he’d prove to have quite an arm on him. The sentinel like creatures were taking up the mantle of expanding Sparrow’s spatial awareness and thus while she had been focused on frowning at the man trying to sell her a bandage the glass could careen toward her only to be shattered in the claw on of her pet’s tentacle like limbs once it caught it.

But, a rather large shard of glass escaped the prevented impact and clipped the woman; opening a rather ugly gash just under her ear and across the plane of her cheek. Sparrow yelped; immediately bringing a hand up to clap over the wound. It wasn’t grievous but it would bleed ferociously as facial wounds were wont to do. Redness immediately cut a river from the wound that spilled out from between her half bandage wrapped fingers and onto her drab slate and olive clothing.

The child who had thrown the glass was frozen in place as both sentinels started for him with unprecedented speed. Unfortunately, they were grounded in Sparrow’s instinct and emotional state; seeking to rend the flesh of the attacker and remove the threat to their master as her initial anger and shock from being wounded flared with violent intent. It was possible Sparrow could recover from the sudden rage, offense and pain— but would it happen in time for a teenaged boy to be spared?

It could feasibly all depend on how Vann chose to next address the wounded ferrokinetic and if he would truly attempt to get involved.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Vann Thu Jun 23, 2016 9:48 pm

The woman seemed stubborn to the point of unreasonable. She was not only a danger to herself but clearly to others, even if she had gotten her bearings who was to say the infection might not worsen and she would lose control again. She was obviously too dangerous to be left going around. Vann wondered how long it might take for any sort of "authority" to finally seek to put a stop to it. The fringes of market were not nearly as industrialized as the more inner and "urban" areas, little more than ramshackle shanty towns and slums built over each other. But it would only be a matter of time.

Vann was unable to foresee the flying glass, and it was certainly an ignorant but valorous attempt by the young male, but it only served to bring what might have been a lessening of danger flaring back up again. Vann was by no means a hero, but he was also not callous either. He had to stop this quickly and efficiently, as she was distracted, he focused his will upon a considerably more "forceful" attempt at communication.

Unlike the previous communication this was true telepathy, consciousness interacting with consciousness directly. With her distraction, and perhaps residual confusion her mind might prove weak enough for him to implement his compulsion.  Playing upon the exhaustion she must have felt from carrying on in such a state, he sought to exacerbate it to a degree it would overtake the pain and numb it, relaxing her as she was distracted in reaping a terrible retribution on the one that had dared to attack her, and all those who got in her way. Slumber.

If she was immune to Telepathy, he supposed things might just have to get really complicated. And he had already wasted a sigil, she was not the only one irritated, but she seemed so introverted that other people almost were akin to abstract concepts at this point, that is until they were a threat.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Sparrow Thu Jun 23, 2016 10:20 pm

Sparrow usually was immune to telepathic attacks due to her nature and her passive abilities— but not this time. When her constructs were in operation they opened up a rather large vulnerability; creating dual or more open conduits into her mind as said force was expanded beyond her personal field to animate the metal. Thus, Vann’s attack would first see the golems tumblr into the gravel and cobblestone road; sparing the child and skidding for several meters until one hulk smashed its way into a shop for precious stones and nicknacks and the other continued on unabated. Both would begin to crumble slowly as the people watched; their bodies collapsing and whatever force had strung their tentacles together was neutralized and caused the segments to separate immediately.

Perhaps the concerned hero hadn’t quite understood how stubbornly Sparrow had been holding on as her openness to his attacks and his efforts not only exhausted her but took her to her knees and then onto her side with an ungraceful whump into the dirt. She wasn’t quite rendered unconscious as she could still be seen slowly mumbling or slurring words in a language no one present would recognize— and it was so slow and quiet that it would take time to understand they were words at all. The wound still bled and now red coursed over the entire lower half of her visage and pooled underneath her skull. An ugly wound but not one that would put her in danger of losing too much in fluids to continue living. At best she’d have another scar but it certainly looked frightening considering the woman’s current state.

As Vann watched, if he chose to; the radium pinpoints of blue light on the structures flickered and went dead. The floating abominations were truly down for the count and a long pause would stretch on of awkward silence before a few of the marketeers, patrons and frightened security forces would begin to cheer for him. Some approached warily with large smiles on the their faces and some of said faces were pale from shock or stained with tears.

’Young sir….you should end her now.’ one of the security hands said; a disturbingly eager look on his face complete with encouraging nodding. Not that he was wrong or any of them had a logical reason to want the terrible force spared but he and the others were wary and only willing to approach to a point. A large berth was given to the fallen, demi conscious woman. ’Someone like that aint-not fit to live. Not a tank that could hold her, either.’

As for Sparrow the sum of her further movements equalled rolling fully onto her back with her eyes rolled half back into her skull; heavy lidded and fluttering.

[TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market Empty Re: [TRANSFER] Sparrow and Vann in the market

Post by Vann Thu Jun 23, 2016 10:38 pm

The woman seemed to go down, though was still somewhat resistant, as she fell prey to the compulsion, he increased the pressure, seeking to drive her into a deeper slumber, and into REM sleep. He breathed a sigh of relief that it had worked, but he had been lucky. As the men came by he turned to look at them and waited a moment. "I don't think that's necessary, rest assured I can handle her from here." he said. As he spoke he added more "oomph" to the suggestion in the men's minds. "Come to think of it, shouldn't I get some kind of reward for stopping her?" he added as an after-thought.

Assuming that worked, he would have gotten his money back and then some. He still had a problem, he had nowhere to go. He did not trust the clinics here anyway, nor did he trust her to be set loose any more than those men, yet he had no place to take her other than an Inn and that seemed hardly appropriate. He slung her over his back carefully so as not to worsen her injuries, and maintained the pressure of that telepathic link, to ensure she would not awake and raise her defenses. He would have to be careful with her.
