The lines were an extensive and efficient means of travel. They offered, humbled and eager, screeching with the desire to serve and Kitsuko offered her absolute authority. One moment she was displaced, just a figure wandering among the endless hallway solitude of her dominion and the next moment she was within Korel, the fresh taste of new energy—of new life—still tingling on her tongue. Fingertips twitched as she parted her lips, expressing wicked tendrils of smoke that curled curiously about tangled hair and a pulled up hood. It was just a simple motion, one done out of habit and idle thought as a fox-pupiled gaze scanned the area with about as much interest as the mundane were afforded.

It’s not enough… Came gentle mental whispers, easily ignored among the otherwise containable plethora of agony that made her belly ache and her flesh crawl. No, it wasn’t enough, the leylines simply weren’t enough, but she resisted the impulse to tear apart the streets that gave foundation to her steel-toed boots. This was not her domain after all, not some den to be claimed and reconstructed to her will. No, this was a space claimed by her gentle grandson, a man whose training had slipped beyond her fingertips. What a wasted opportunity, though she was certain Arcerion would provide an… adequate education worthy of a Shuinsai member.

So instead she turned her tired gaze to the noble home that was meant to host the royal lines she subtly controlled. It stood out among the various other buildings and the thumping pulsing scream of existence that shifted constantly around her, brushing across that churning ache in her belly and inspiring idle thoughts of consumption that had everything to do with meat and power and nothing to do with a more humane need for an afternoon snack. It was enough to bring a mild smirk to parted lips, enough to display wicked teeth as perverse shadows twisted among eyes that shifted with constant color. This is what it felt like to be alive, wasn’t it? To be young and eager. To have purpose and aspiration?

This was the sort of excitement the licentious crowd killed for, wasn’t it?

So she stepped forward, interested in the city that had become some precious treasure to her grandson as her twitching hand lowered to stroke along the top of her bound book with its writhing groaning cover secured at her hip. She let each step proclaim her presence, let her moment allow that flexing core of her being to ripple outward with the gentle press of her power. Just a little, just enough, to give her glorious family a taste of her amused curiosity.

They better not be late.

Arcerion as always kept his senses open for certain beings upon a small list. His 'mother' was one of those beings he tended to gravitate towards. Then again Kitsuko's tallest son was always so quick to please his mother, and most of the females of his line. Almost like he enjoyed being ordered around by the older women of his clan.

As her presence was made known Arc would slip into one of the shadows at his current place of work within the mountains examining newly discovered ore deposits, much like the ones Ghanima had given to him as a welcoming present, and not unlike the cuffs the sentries in redpointe wore. Stepping out of the shadows near Kitsuko, Arc was clothed in his more usual trappings. White lab coat, with a suit and red tie beneath. Slacks and boots of black with white gloves upon his hands. The tell tale sound of his approach with chains rubbing against himself like soft chimes, made an otherwise silent approach noticeable. He grinned when he saw his mother, and if she hadn't turned to meet him, he would place a strong hand on her shoulder and turn her around. Bending down he placed a chaste kiss upon his mothers forehead and smiled in a way that showed his appreciation for her presence.

"Out for a stroll little mother? Mind if I join you?" Of course he doubted she minded, she had bled her power outwards to attract his attention. With the emperor now walking the streets the crowds of workers stopped to look, and the soldiers saluted them both. He would nod appreciatively to those whose loyalty never faltered. It seemed the promise of Korel was attracting more and more to its gates as the days went on. With a single thought upon his mind for the moment of news to be delivered to Kitsuko he would speak simply.

"I have added another being to our clan. A cousin to my mate who has proven most loyal and useful. Though Bale and I doubt his intentions are all pure as in the olden days, Helivant will be a useful ally. Already he has shown an aptitude for flesh crafting which I haven't seen since Brother Dearest left the realm." He chuckled a bit at this and continued walking with Kitsuko. Eventually others would join them, for now he was content to enjoy his mother's company.
