Mathias felt the strange call from the arena and closed his eyes wondering what being summoned felt like. A few moments passed before everything was different, no pain or movement, just the difference of being in once place and then the other. Opening his eyes and looking around, observing the surroundings as his hands made a steady and practiced check of his weapons. Feeling through the long white hooded peacoat for the six weapon hilts holstered to his belt. His opponent hadn’t arrived yet but being the challenger he supposed he would be the first there. His surroundings were odd but nothing disorienting, a simple platform with detached floating stands to give the feel of a coliseum floating among nothingness. It was simple and it worked.

The white clad man kept his hood pulled up, shadowing much of his face and hiding his hair as well as making it difficult to see that his eyes were a solid inky black. Almost like looking into two pools of darkness. Some might consider it an oddity given what he was, but the few that knew him understood their purpose. He was wingless after all. Pushing the coat back and resting his hands on his hips revealed the unrelieved white attire and weapon hilts that were without the weapon. Leaving them in easy reach as it was time to wait now. Would his opponent show?

The Black-Sun Augur had been summoned, and he was not happy. Not after the results of his last match. For the life of him he could not fathom how the large dog man had just suddenly stopped being affected by fire. Sirhan was fairly old, it was not like he could diversify his skillset much at his age.

Here was however, standing before the opponent a few moments later.

Sirhan was determined not to lose again, the Augur bearing a rod which extended into a 6 foot double-sided pole-arm, while his robes concealed a few nasty surprises. He breathed deeply stoking his "inner-fire" as heat emanated from his body, casting a haze around him.  He then stepped forward, emitting that inner-fire through the sole of his boot to propel him much quicker at Mathias, his right hand dominant upon the pole-arm, with his left further back. The Augur would stop just short of 4.5 feet, and make a quick jab aimed at the center of the males hip.

Finally one of his challenges had answered their call. It was beginning to feel hollow, climbing the ranks without actually having to fight for it. And now not only did his opponent show, it seemed he had something prove. Launching an attack only a moment after arriving. Well he supposed etiquette wasn't really required here. Despite the immediate aggression Mathias had some time to react, study his opponent and decide on a course of action.

His solid black eyes might have been unsettling to some and even more so as a smirk danced across his features. The white gloved hands closed around the odd weaponless hilts at his belt, each hand suddenly blur as he released and threw three in rapid succession. As each hilt touched his hand light emit from the end expanding and hardening into short blades for the first two.

The first one thrown aimed directly at the chest of Sirhan as he charged. While the second was thrown to impact the ground a rough five feet in front of him. The third seemed thrown off course as the light hardened not into a knife but a sai. Flying over the shoulders and head of Sirhan at an upwards angle. Finally Mathias drew a fourth into his left hand while the light once more expanding from the hilt into a second Sai. Finally moving and running towards Sirhan as a means to engage him. Seeing how he would deal with the thrown projectiles long before he was close enough to engage with his polearm.

Despite leaving his hands and hardening into weapons, each still held a pulsing glow as the light within ebbed.

Sirhan was kept at bay by the Barrage, eyes narrowing. He turned in place as the first weapon came for him, he could already surmise even if he could not detect the energy linking the weapons, that they were being animated to move seemingly under their own power, a tactic that Sirhan himself used.

The turn would shift Sirhans body offline of the first knife, and more towards his own left. Left hand was removed from the polearm simultaneously as it moved through his robes in one swift fluid notion and flung a circular hollow disc at the incoming weapon aimed at the ground to create a mid-air collision that would knock the weapon off course and bounce the Chakram at an upward angle towards the knife which had purposely missed Sirhan to join it in the air, putting them on a second collision course in a stunning display of skill.

Sirhan took another breath as Mathias closed in, left hand moving back towards the polearm while the right made a simple jab at Mathias chest.

Mathias continued his run towards Sirhan as the weapons flew, but things wouldn't go nearly how the man had planned. His assumption was half correct in that Mathias could control the trajectory of his weapons once they left his hands. But there was more, so much more.

Even as the man stepped and rotated to avoid the first thrown knife, he exposed himself and remained defenseless as the pulsing lighting within erupted in violence. Mathias body shimmered in tandem with the light knife as the blinding flash of light and energy was detonated parallel to Sirhan's body as he assumed the knife would pass by.

The flash not only blinding and disorienting, as if a supernatural flash-bang, but it also carried the charged release of energy as if standing far to close to a wild voltage source. Inducing a wild shock that could potentially temporarily halt the mans motions as his body reacted in spasms or simple momentary paralysis.

If the man still threw his Chakram, and with any accuracy it mattered little as the quick succession of the thrown weapons would see them to their purpose. Rather the second weapon was impacted by the chakram or if it hit the ground as intended it too would pulse in light as it exploded outwards. Though this time not as the first, but a blast of concentrated force meant to throw Sirhan backwards and off his feet. Given his potential disorientation and likely blindness, as well as being in the act of throwing his chrakam, it was unlikely he expected or had readied means to defend.

The impact of force could crack the ribs of a normal man, the chakram caught up in the force would be unable to redirect as Sirhan intended leaving the third thrown weapon the sai on it's intended course. The true gambit of his attack, as with each pulse of his weapons Mathias' shimmering body had vanished.

The gloved right hand suddenly appearing attached to the thrown sai that was behind and above Sirhan as he was likely being thrown back through the air, maybe still paralyzed, but more than likely still disoriented due to the rapid timing of his attacks. Mathias solidifying from light much like the weapons had as the Sai he held in his left hand drove forth in a jab directly for the mans shoulder. He wasn't aiming to kill Sirhan otherwise he would have intended for spine.

The ever playful smirk still danced across Mathias lips as the light in the left hand sai pulsed. Could Sirhan guess what this one did? Or could the man notice the two previously exploding weapon hilts once more on Mathias's belt beneath the fluttering white coat in his movements? Time would tell.

Sirhan had not discounted the weapons having far more to them, but was dealing with things as they came. He was forced to perhaps suffer yet another loss, only much more quicker than his last one. There was literally no defense against the flashbang, and he cried out as he was stabbed. But he was not going to go out easy if he could help it. The intake of air he had previously taken in was released out with that cry in a sudden flare of heat that emanated from his body creating an omnidirectional spreading dome of flame and explosive force.

It would happen as the Sai struck, and was almost more of a flinching reflex than an attack. A reaction that was almost beyond Sirhans own ability to control. It would also encompass the area of the other weapons if they were still aerial by the time of the stab, though to Sirhan he could not be aware of this as he reeled from the sensory-overload. His ribs did not break to his credit however, but he was sent reeling and thrown aside, shaking his head. The Chakrams whereabouts sent who knows where.

It was at least a possibility that if Mathias was caught in the sudden blast he might get a bit more than he bargained for. Essentially the equivalent to poking a furnace.

Sirhan Melarr vs Mathias Seraph [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sirhan Melarr vs Mathias Seraph [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Mathias was an unknown in the ring, at least these days. But once upon a time he held a reputation, worked with some of the fiercest warriors in the land and was esteemed in their ranks. He had first hand experience with perhaps the most terrifying foe this world would ever know. What perhaps surprised the old veteran was how much he enjoyed himself in battle. It had been long perhaps too long and now he was reliving that thrill.

Hardly a greenhorn, Mathias expected some sort of close proximity reprisal from the man. Most had as much when put in a precarious situation, which is why Mathias had chosen defense as his left hand weapon. The light in the sai pulsed as before, Mathias body shimmering in response and the shield of light, the barrier around him revealed itself as Sirhan's natural explosion kicked in.

The white haired man duly protected from the blast as his sai stabbed into Sirhan's shoulder and his right hand came around to bring the point of his first sai to the man's neck as they land on the ground. Mathias landing with the grace of a swan as if he was born for the air, perhaps supporting Sirhan's weight as he regathered his senses. Yield my friend. Mathias tone almost a song, but bound by iron in his firmness as he pressed the sai's point to Sirhan's neck, the other having been driven into the meat of his shoulder.

It all came to naught, there was no defense against this fighter, and no offense to be had. Somehow he had been completely outclassed from before his first move. A bitter pill to swallow that stained his honor even further.

He was not even coherent enough to yield. He would not have, as the blade was jabbed into his shoulder, he could only grunt and groan from the pain, but it was very possible that his movements could cause a penetration to his throat as he was being held and yet stabbed from behind, but with yet another blade before him. Clearly he was in no condition to continue, and the previous blast of power he had used had left him more drained than it should have for various reasons.
