Sune'ere had been brought to a new place to prove his worth.  That seemed to be the focus of this past few months, proving his worth.  Well here he would do just that.  In this neutral arena where no one could save him, he would do his absolute best to stand proud and triumph over whoever his opponent would be.

Sune stood still on one edge of the fighting pit, Sune was dressed in his usual white travel cloak, covering much of his form, hiding muscular physique and any weapons he held upon his form.  The only part of him that was exposed was his head.  With short cut snow white hair, and a same colored well trimmed scruff of a beard Sune looked more like a young man lost instead of a proper A ranked combatant.  Standing at six foot three inches, Sune tapped a booted foot in impatience, like he had somewhere better to be than proving himself against other beings.

Of course here he was, a challenge had been issued, by himself, he would be an idiot not to show.  He had plans, and climbing the sanctum ladder would allow him to put more and more of his plans in motion.

What happens when the soul is challenged?

Epsi appeared at the opposite end of the arena, taking the shape of an armored warrior. Broad in its stature, at 7'0" wielding a sword as long as himself. The sword in question is modeled after a kriegsmesser, an ebony cross handle with a third prong sticking out of the right side. The blade looked fractured, held together by solid red constructs of his very own soul. The dense metal plating that covered every muscle group was nothing more than a byproduct of his will, beneath that armor, around the joints and small gaps shined his "physical" body outlined in an ethereal red solid. His helm was a layer of plates sitting over a visor, mouth piece and a three point crown. Inside the empty black sockets two red spheres appeared before the suit of armor was ignited in red lines all throughout its muscular. The edge of the blade gave off a high pitched whine, sparked in red light.

He wrapped a clawed gauntlet around the second half of his sword hilt then placed the hilt low to his waist and the blade center to his opponents throat. Right side dominate, his left leg put back. The slant of his visor seemed all the more sharp and focused with a blade splitting the center. A malicious red aura appeared around him, potential not yet tapped. He began walking forward, keeping the stance, threatening to run his opponent through with the pointed tip of his sword.

Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded]

Sune'ere watched his opponent with great interest.  A suit of armor and a sword, though clearly he was ranked above him for good reason.  He couldn't underestimate this opponent.  Treat it like a fight against his teachers, treat it like a fight for his life.  The lack of a greeting indicated that this thing was ready and that taunting would be quite useless.  As the aura appeared around his opponent Sune would respond by tapping into his core and summoning forth a sheen of power that manifested as a hoarfrost colored flame emanating from his eye's.  Using his core energy he would enhance his speed to the point that his movements would be a blur to an untrained eye, as well as augmenting his perception to home in on specific points.  The necessity for such precise eye shot would very rapidly become apparent.

His cloak billowed outwards as both of his hands produced runed revolvers, each weighted heavily by activated quint-capacitors which added even more kick to his rounds as he would fire off.  Within the blink of an eye, the weapons were raised, hammers pulled back and targeted at two separate points on his opponent.  His target being in full armor made him a much larger target than a normal person, the triggers on both weapons were pulled simultaneously as twin rune bullets left the chamber.  By the time the sound of the bullets reached his opponent he would of already been struck if he did not begin evasive movements.  The left bullet was aimed at the helm, and the right was aimed at the center of mass.  The lead of the bullets themselves were runed, and held within them already cast rote spells.  Once they met with physical resistance, either in the form of shielding or as he hoped his own target, the lead would explode like a small bomb, maybe with enough force to drive into open joints.  However that was not the danger in his rune bullets.

The real danger came from the spell within the rounds.  His enhanced force bullets would smack whatever they struck with a wave of pure kinetic force on par with being struck by a semi going about eighty miles an hour.  Enough to liquefy a man without proper defenses, and even with that armor, if there was nothing that really held it together, it very well may fly apart.  Immediately following his unload of both guns he would use his considerable strength to begin to run along the very edge of the arena, threading the precipice and judging the distance between himself and the nearest stands. It was at least fifty feet, maybe even a hundred. Nothing he couldn't make with assistance, however if he was knocked off without his intentions being to jump he might well ring out himself. Already his advanced mind would activate the avatar protocols, converting the friction he created against the wind into a store of quintessence for later use should he require it. Before he fired again he would wait to see just what had become of his opponent.

Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded]

Epsi took precision notice of the blue colored flame in his opponents eye, followed by a blur of motion, but the study of micro changes in an opponent were something a soul had been ingrained with from its physical host. He read in the aura an increase in movement speed, as no other obvious effects were presented. At the curtain call of dual revolvers he made his move wrapping his aura around his hands and feet as arbitrary effects of a greater physical system. The increase in speed made his next move all the more assured, but he wasn't going to stay on the defensive.

The trigger pull of a revolver, having no safety, was harder to squeeze than a regular automatic; but custom triggers were not unheard of and the only real indication he could rely on were the hammers, but he used both in conjunction with the line of the barrels, to dodge just before the bullet left the chamber. They were fired at once which made it all the easier to side step three feet to the left giving them the same berth.

As he dodged, he returned fired in two ways; First disguising his telekinetic nature with the motion of his sword and second by sending a crimson blade of energy aimed for the opponents chest. The thin energy blade in question was slanted from the bottom of the ribcage to the middle of the breast, supersonic and hit with the force of a high caliber sniper round. But the only reason he had faith in this technique was the opponents immediate dash(to the right) and his speed of movement, using that against him, during his rightward swing he had created a telekinetic wall to come crashing into him from the direct front and stunning him for a single second if resisted and if not knocking him backwards into the tail end of the strike. The telekinetic wall was ten feet by ten feet and comprised of condensed atmosphere strong enough to crush a man into red paste.

Afterwards, his sword would end in the plow stance and he would continue walking forward, awaiting his opponents response if any. The edge of his weapon growing crimson once more.

Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded]

Sune'ere had his mind operating fast enough to compensate for the supernatural speed at which he could run. If his perception was ever relaxed, even for a moment at this speed he very well may kill himself with a simple misstep, and that would simply be no good. His eye's never left his target as he watched him swing his blade. The very fact that he did that, meant that he had some form of range with which to deal with Sune. Already he would need to up his speed from the peak of humanity up to something approaching supernatural just to be able to react. Augmented vision, would catch just what was happening in front of him with the rapid atmosphere condense, and simultaneously the red energy that was at that moment being launched at him. His increase in speed, given that his opponent had dodged two bullets had been a damn good choice.

Immediately he jumped forward and twisted to face his opponent. His right foot struck the wall three quarters of the way up. using the moisture in the air the edge he touched of the atmosphere wall would condense into solid ice, which he would then kick off with enough power and speed to cause a sonic boom, going the opposite way and clearing the initial red energy attack by quite a few feet. Airborne now and traveling in the opposite direction he would fire downwards at his opponent with his left hands revolver as the right was holstered at his side. The round traveling at such a direction was once more aimed at his opponents center of mass. A direct hit would once more cause the bullet to explode on contact, and instead of delivering an attack of raw kinetic force, this new bullet would create a mass of rapidly expanding ice. Aiming to trap his opponent in a ten foot cube of ice. If it missed, a short dodge to the side would not be enough to avoid the spell as a whole. The bullet striking the grand a foot and a half behind its intended target, the cube of ice would still expand.

Falling now, Sune would use his free hand to pull a pair of metal gauntlets he kept at his belt off and throwing them towards his opponent. The strength he used would send closed fist gauntlets at a speed on par with how fast the red energy had been moving before at him. The runes on the gauntlets were much like a more durable and powerful force bullet. If they struck ground or opponent they would send him flying backwards, or in the case of the ground it would create a rather sizeable crater. Hopefully he had become trapped and unable to move, colliding with the ice would crack the prison, but also send his opponent backwards hopefully out of the arena.

Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded]

With the possibility of his opponent leaping over the wall, noticing the sudden jump forward and twist, he enacted the second half of the walls use. The condensed gases were ignited with a single brilliant spark at its core. Like a flash of light the high volatile substance exploded with enough force to turn bone to ash and liquefy the insides of anyone within a few dozen feet. The sheer force would be enough to knock the speedy gunslinger straight off the edge of the arena, if not kill him outright as he was heading for the center of detonation foot first. The shockwave would go on to spread for five hundred feet and the heat and light would linger in the arena. This would also cause extreme retina damage to anyone that happened to be looking at it without shades on and even then due to the distance, blindness would be likely to occur.

Epsi kept his blade up projecting a shield to absorb the kinetic force of the shockwave of whatever touched him and the heat of the blast from some thirty feet away all being pulled into his core. He continued gathering energy into his speed, needed to continuously dodge bullets, but now able to dodge them after they've been fired. If his opponent managed to survive without being knocked out of the arena, he would watch carefully and timing the trigger pull, dash past the bullet by just four feet at supersonic speed. His intent was to catch him where he landed, nine feet from that spot he swung up and sent a crimson blade towards center mass at also supersonic speed.

Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Epsilon Soul vs Sune'ere Dra'sen [Class A, Ranked] [Concluded]

Sune'ere rarely underestimated his opponents anymore, especially ones that dodged bullets like play things. Having previously activated his friction shielding before he had started running he would of been converting the heat energy in the air around him into a viable source of power for him to draw from. Since his foot did not connect with anything, except for a blast of extreme heat and pressure from the condensed gasses sudden eruption, he would be flung away. Upping the power on his shield would reduce the blunt force trauma as well as the burns he would be incurring. Residual energies were converted and stored within the quintessence capacitors he kept on his person for later usage. The real risk here would come from him being flung out of the ring. Quick thinking and even quicker hands would holster both of his guns as his trajectory made it look like he would fall off into the nothing below.

As his body flipped through the air the moment it righted itself in relation to his opponent he would use some of his residual magic to condense the air below his feet, enough to give him some kind of leverage in the air, before kicking off of it at the same startling speed he'd displayed before. The leap forward would easily cover the distance that he had traveled and land once more now ten feet within the perimeter of the arena. There would be no need for Epsilon to dodge any attack on Sune's part, as he had needed to readjust everything he had done just to survive the blast. He doubted there would be any time to catch his breath, as Epsilon was most likely swinging a new slash of red energy to strike at him with.

Sune met the red slash coming his way head on, range wasn't going to get him anywhere in this fight. Raising runed leather gauntlets he would activate the shielding rune on his armor, intending to let the wave of super sonic energy crash against it and dissipate, though only so much of the force could be redistributed around him causing a slight sliding of his steps. Eye's locked on his opponent he would grab a small hand full of clay balls, and hurl them towards the opponent, the distribution in the air was tight enough that another slash would find them intercepting one another.

Sune centered himself and extended his perception of reality, trying to for a moment find this things weaknesses if it had any as he tried to observe it on multiple levels. What kept it moving, what gave the orders. Learning about his opponents own make up would allow him to not only fight him easier, but also allow him to take him down. For now the move was on Epsilon to strike again, as Sune prepared for his next strike.

Epsi, watched as his opponent was flung from the blast. Deciding now to be the best time to enact his plan of action!

"Maybe next time." It thought.

Suddenly. Epsi, running to the side of the cliff, he would leap towards his opponent as he was kicking off the air back onto the arena and performed a swan dive into the darkness below.
