Tera stood suddenly on the odd floating sandy arena looking around as an otherworldly light illuminated everything. The space was neither hot or cold and quite large, gazing into the distance showed nothing but darkness in any direction. It was slightly unsettling, but the Lieutenant quickly suppressed such futile emotions as she readied herself. The Alis' hands moved in a practiced rhythm as checked her weapons. The shock batons at her waist, their lengths retracted so they were nothing more then a pair of black and silver T shaped hilts. Her Magi Carbine was securely fastened to her back with the gravity grapple. And finally the pair of short Gladius sheathed at the small of her back. The pommels were carved lion heads instead of the usual ball. Tempest Strike was a unique pair given to her by the Primoris Fulminis himself. She cherished her blades above all, and more because they were as deadly as they were beautiful.

With a hop that left her floating in the air for a short moment, Tera nodded at the familiar feeling of her gravity harness working. Red lips curled into a smirk that, few could handle Fulminis movements with the harness, and the Lieutenant was unequaled when it came to their mastery. The light black body suit of the Alis Fulminis hugged her form, doing little to hide the curve of her build, but the suit offered more protection than it suggested. It was still less than the other branches, but it was necessary sacrifice for the extra agility it afforded the Fulmins.

With a final nod, Tera pulled up her long wavy locks of red hair before donning her helmet. It secured with a gentle clicking sound as the suit became airtight and environmentally sealed. Her fiery green eyes hidden away behind the smooth black surface blinked as her retinal HUD and the helmets holo-display linked to her suit and mind. Her fingers flexed causing the flex armor on their back of her gloves to shift. She was ready, who this Sergei was no longer mattered to her, all she knew was the excitement of her battle lust began to grow in anticipation. Who or what this Sergei Deker were didn't matter so much as rather or not he could give her a fight worth remembering.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Sergei Deker was called to fight. Finally an opportunity to prove his worth before queen and country. Transported before this odd place located outside of space and time gave him a momentary sense of disorientation. The adjustment to the climate as his senses felt only the most tenuous connection to his former phase. Stationed at the opposite side of the arena as his opponent they couldn't be more polar opposites. Sergei stood at a massive eight foot six, broad of shoulder and were it not for his armor they may of seen that his musculature was nothing short of intimidating. Something to put even the bulky primoris potentiae to shame. His armor fit him perfectly, with dual power sources which could feed off of active spore batteries, and even his own nature when neccessary. The make of it resembled bulky red heavy plate, the weight of it easily putting him at over a ton in weight. Just falling on the smaller opponent might be a viable tactic at this point. Short cut white hair upon a scarred face might of placed him as a far distant cousin to the emperor's own, if they decided to stand next to each other. Strapped across his back was a massive great sword, magnetically sealed and awaiting release from it's confines. The blade itself was the size of the man himself, with an extra eight inches added from the hilt which made it look like it could be wielded in either two hands or one. The width of it was easily enough to negate the need for a cross guard, almost a foot of Rykrean Steel.

Tasting at the air he allowed himself to scent the air around him, not unlike a predator he was scenting his prey. Getting a feeling for where she was and possibly what she was capable of. The scent that came back was one that held vague hints of having been on a battle field with him before. After all both Tyne and Deker had been present and on the field when Nexxian had been attacked. Maybe this gave him a slight advantage in knowing just how she might attack. On top of that, the Celesin armor made her a partially known factor. He moved one free hand to the back of his armor, running armored digits over the back of his neck and over his face his helm would form, a bird of prey war helm which covered his whole face. Sealing him within his armor, systems would activate on mental cue alone. His voice projected far naturally as the deep bass of the Black Sun champion would reach across the field. "Fight well young lass, and honor to your emperor." They should be enemies, he should taunt her and deride her station, that is what most rivals may of done. Not Sergei, in this moment when he took the field of battle the only thing that mattered to him was the fight. Not political lines, not rivalries. Those got in the way, all he wanted was a good fight.

Magnetic harnesses were released and his other hand would grip at the blade swinging it around skillfully in front of him and gripping it in both hands. The blade was pointed down towards the ground, tip only a few inches above the sand. Large stomping feet moved forward at a measured pace, with his armor clanking with every move. His blade kept in that lazy guard as he may be testing or underestimating his opponent. Would Tyne allow him to get close enough? For now it was her move as this walking mountain moved forward, intent on winning honor for his empress. After all a blow against a Celesin soldier, what greater honor could there be before he approached a general one day.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Tera Thu May 26, 2016 12:37 am

The Lieutenant tilted her head slightly as her opponent finally arrived, her retinal scanner taking his measurements and approximating strength based on muscle mass. In response to the man drawing his massive sword her right hand extended as the Magi Carbine rotated from her back to her grip. "My you're a big one arn't you." Even through the helmets voice modulator Tera's voice seemed on the verge of seducing. "I'll do my lord proud, just try to keep up big boy." The Lieutenant wasn't quite so honor bound as giant man, but her demeanor spoke of a warriors confidence.

Her grav-harness hummed to life as the Lieutenant raised her gun, the weapons targeting array linked to her HUD and retina display allowing for quick accurate aiming, which would soon be especially useful. A thump resonated from the barrel of her gun as it fired, a nearly invisible distortion of compressed Magi-laced force shot directly towards Sergei's center mass at supersonic speeds. Not but a moment after Tera had fired the shot she was on the move, taking a single step forwards that launched her skywards as if shot propelled from a sling shot. Her grav-harness tethers fueling her movement as all four tethers had been used for the launch increasing her movement speed significantly. Inverted in the air above Sergei, and roughly forty feet over his head the Fulminis would pass, her gun aimed on target, and another shot was taken. This time a three round burst, each shot of her Carbine packing the impact force of small car traveling at thirty miles an hour and like the first aimed at Sergei's center mass.

Beneath her helmet the Tera's lips had curled into a smirk, eyes bright with excitement as the fight had begun. Time to test the durability of the cumbersome giant, but if the man relied on energy shielding, he'd be in for a bit of a shock as the Force rounds were laced with Magi, causing such things to drain even quicker as the blasts would feed off the energy for a moment increasing their potency.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Sergei's grinned behind his helm as she spoke, raising her carbine in such a way that implied she was ready for battle. His own internal computers were working on determining the range and nature of the yet uncatalogued weapon. Sergei was a large man however and it was obvious from a tactical standpoint where she would aim to attack him from. The first shot would strike home dead center at his chest, without enough time to raise his blade up, his internal computers would recognize the majority of what had happened. Luckily enough for Sergei he didn't believe in energy shields except for when absolutely necessary, so the Carbine would only strike at the velocity it was intended for. The multiple layers of armor, and soft cushioning would do a good job of dispersing the force attack before it would strike at his flesh beneath. Bruised certainly, but nothing a day on the field couldn't handle.

Though Sergei never looked upwards or around him as Tera seemingly disappeared, the Exercion had already scented his prey, and was keenly aware of her speed and location. Standing still and continuing to approach her former position would be a fools errand. As she propelled herself over him to strike from above where he would anatomically be more vulnerable, Sergei Leaped upwards, using the giants prodigous strength, which was augmented by the power armor he wore, he would be on a collision course with Tera. Serge raised his blade and held the wide edge horizontal to the ground, easily covering his form, the strikes would smash into the Rykrean Steel. Though they would in fact slow him down, the spore force thrusters in each boot would compensate, emitting a force not unlike what her Carbine had done to keep him moving towards her.

If he smashed into her, the woman would find herself smashed against the flat of his blade, and then the very moment he found that extra weight of the tiny (in comparison) Alis, he would with his massive strength, use the flat of his massive blade like a hammer, swinging with both hands and aiming to take her from her position in the air, and force her to slam down into the arena's sands. With the use of Spore thrusters along his joints, and his own enhanced strength, should she take the strike from the flat of his blade she would have little time to react.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Her gaze never left Sergei for a moment and she knew from not only his size but that oversized blade he decided to draw that movement was life. But that was the way she liked it, the Lieutenant was a Fulminis after all. Enhanced with the essence of her Primoris the Lord of Lightning, movement was her greatest attribute. Of course there was no way Tera as a mere Alis could hope to rival the Primoris' speed but her agility and grace were second to none against most others. Her three round burst met the swords flat as Sergei continued to rise up, but Tera was already utilizing his ascent to her advantage, one of her four gravity tethers shifting to use Sergei's giant mass as her fulcrum.

The Fulminis had never stopped her forwards momentum as she launched over Sergei, and now that he was rising up towards her she utilized that along with her grav-harness to orbit around him. His placement was irrelevant as like a moon orbited a planet her gravity tether enacted the same effect. And she rotated around him, her body twisting in the air as a second tether amplified her pull to the ground beyond him increasing her speed yet again. Her body changing so that she would sweep past the ground almost like she was on a hyper speed swing set.

With the Lieutenant rotating around Sergei with increased speed, she waited until she was just beneath him. Her hand shifting to brace the weapon as she smirked with the trigger pull. The very air at the carbines barrel warped and distorted, the ground beneath her body rippled in waves of dust like a giant fist of air had struck. The resonating thump as if thunder had struck in immediate vicinity echoed with the single shot that caused the carbines crystal luminescence to dull. Ava Krause had once called the shot the Daul Smash mode. As Tera overcharged the Core to released it's full maximum potential in a single burst. The force of the shot was about on par to a fully fueled punch from the Primoris Potentiae.

As Tera crested the southern side of her orbit with Sergei she released the tether to ground maintaining her attachment to Sergei's mass for a moment longer so that she rose skywards at a rough 60 degree angle back from her starting point. Releasing the drained Carbine while the grav link to her suit re-holstered the weapon for charging. Half reaching for he beloved blades, instead the Lieutenant drew the Magi Shock batons from her waist, her grip on the handle extending them into a pair of Tonfa as she wonder how Sergei would deal with the hypersonic shot aimed directly beneath him at his center of mass. And intending to strike with the force of a freight train loaded with bricks. Loosely attaching two tethers to the ground directly beneath her but not activating them yet. He might surprise her after all.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Sergei had continued his ascent, but he had scented her and was aware of her movement.  His tactical knowledge over decades of campaigns showed she was using her technology in a very unique and admirable way.  The advanced systems within his armor could calculate how she moved and project a rough estimate of where she would be.  Her use of the Magi cannon this early on, showed that she may favor long ranged attacks, which meant he would need to take evasive manuvers.  However with his body no longer bound to the ground, she may find they fought on a relatively even playing field.  Sergei was a natural when it came to flight and manuvers.  Though he may not look it, he had spent a good majority of his life with the natural capability of flight so mid air manuvers, are second nature to him.

If the nature of the Grav Harness placing a tether on him was noticeable to the advanced computer system within his armor (which unless it was an undetectable trait like magi)  the system would begin to analyze the tether and attempt a counter code through advanced computational methods.  It was unlikely it could destabilize the tether, but it may learn it and be able to counter such an effect at a later date should it become neccesary.

Spore force drives went into overload, as his legs were now skyward and his head pointing not perfectly down but at an angle.  The mental feedback and his intent were made manifest as the psionic field generated a momentary wall in the air which armored feet would plant on.  Kicking off much like an Olympic swimmer, and boosted by the Exercion feeding his hunger into the strength of his already obscenely powerful form, he would begin his descent as Tera was approaching her place of firing off the Daul punch.

Tactically minded, Sergei had assumed she would fire at his back like an honor less Utopian she so resembled.  His speed and power of his kick coupled with over charged spore thrusters would get him well enough away from Tera perceived shot range.  The speed at which he would be coming at her perceived orbit, may yet surprise her.

Though the Grav link she had provided onto his mass may yet help her, his blade was now leveled slightly above his head, quick twists of his gauntlet bound hands would activate, the blade seperating at its center. And over charged spore battery sending out a supersonic slug of ebon steel which had weighted the handle of his blade.  The slug itself was aimed at where her orbit and speed would place her.  If she did not make quick adjustments, she may find herself on the receiving end of a rail guns slug.  If it missed, well there would be a considerable amount of dust to obscure his approach to her kicked up.

Using his scent with the calculations of advanced Dorian tech within his power armor, the massive Exercion would burst through the dust storm, with an intimate knowledge of where his target should be, even if she ceased her orbiting tether.  This close, with the massive blade now closing it's shooting mechanism, he would strike horizontally at her center of mass, his own power and speed supplementing the super sonic swing he would cause.  This was aimed at her own center of mass, intent on cleaving her at the stomach.  Wounds such as this could be healed, albeit over time using Dorian tech, he did not for a fraction of a second doubt Celesin could do the same.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Tera Sun Jun 05, 2016 2:39 am

The Lieutenant's gaze never left Sergei's form in her orbit around him, and it seemed the mountain of armor had some movement to be had in the air, even if it required a boatload of power from his armor. This could serve to her advantage if the fight persisted for too long as her gravity harness operated with extreme efficiency. The likelihood of her power supply running out before his was quite slim. However when Sergei began to turn and adjust in the air it meant Tera would need to improvise. Given her speed and the super sonic nature of the shot she intended to shoot, Sergei would have needed to alter his upwards movement and begin evasive maneuvers before she reached the lowest point of her orbit to shoot up from beneath him. This afforded her time to react.

While the other Alis branches might have been more pressed to react in time given their focus of abilities. Tera was a Fulmins, speed and reaction were their bread and butter. The Fulminis were all bestowed with a much higher caliber of agility and movement then the other branches as that was their focus, and to accompany that they had hyper accelerated reaction time in order to utilize it to the fullest extent.

Sergei's computers if they required her tether to be touching the man would not be able to register their effect, as the tether never actually made contact with Sergei. Instead the tethers honed in on specific points of mass, and altered the users personal gravity to that of the object of mass selected. But if he was capable of sensing shifts in personal gravity from the Lieutenants core he might understand better what was going on.

All the Alis Grav-Harnesses had a critical effect in order to fully function. The harness encompassed the user in a gyroscopic gravity field that negated their inertia. While this was certainly crucial to be able to move as they did, and certainly the field had a few other effects that could become evident later. It was the foundation of how the Fulminis operated. With no inertia, they could alter their movement nearly instantaneously, and with no resistance force. This also meant the Alis did not need to deal with the g-forces of movement changes. Truly Celesin's R&D head Konstantine was genius unparalleled.

Tera knew as Sergei altered his position she would need to adjust, and could have assumed his intentions to evade the shot this time. As she had not taken the shot yet, then it meant he was unaware of the strength it was coming out, having already dealt with the four initial burst rounds, the strength should come as quite the surprise. The Lieutenant, maintained her single tether to Sergei's mass and shifted the remaining three beneath her. The moment she reached the critical juncture of her intended shot she utilized all four tethers to push and pull her gravity violently towards Sergei.

Her course was not a direct line to the man, but intended to pass him by on the side opposite his sword hand, shooting upwards and missing his mass by roughly 15 feet. Ensuring she was out of reach should he attempt to swing his sword around at her. This time however Tera wasn't shy about her speed, the thunderous echo of the sonic boom reverberated through the air as her speed hit supersonic, the field around her body almost visible as it crackled with arcs of lightning like energy. Her body rotating in the air as she launched skywards again. So that when she passed Sergei, and passed his new course she would be roughly 15 feet above him when she truly fired this time.

This time the Daul shot was intended to hit him center mass directly in the back. Sending the mountain man potentially hurtling back to ground below in a thunderous crash. Given her all but instant acceleration and change of direction, as well as the significantly closer proximity of her blast then the originally intended shot. Sergei should be unable to pull the same antics for a defense, and even if he adjusted his position again it was likely too little too late. It wasn't honorless to use your strengths to make up for disadvantages. And only a pure pool would think the smaller and more fragile Lietuenant should even attempt to engage Sergei in a head on battle of blows.

How this all played out to his intention to blast her with the rail slug was yet to be seen. Assuming he had intended to fire the slug after his turn, then she would certainly no longer be anywhere near his projections of her course and the slug would have been shot into the ground raising that dust cloud.

As intended before the Lieutnant would release her Magi Carbine after the shot allowing it return to it's holster on her back and draw the MS Batons in their tonfa form. Of course the Lieutenant was not one to stand idle. Should the blast of her carbine send Sergei hurtling to earth and crashing like a meteor, Tera would be following quickly behind. Altering the pull of her tethers to launch towards the grounded target. Wondering just how much pain such a blast of the gun and the ground could impact on him. If by some chance her shot did not do as intended Tera continued her upwards rise.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sergei-Deker Thu Jun 09, 2016 1:35 am

Sergei had been taking the lieutenant far too lightly,  her initial blasts were the only thing which he could gauge her weapon by.  His computers could not get a lock on exactly how she was moving.  However what he lacked in true meta skills, the lynch pin of his races own power, he made up for in tactical knowledge, on point reflexes and a certain amount of luck.

His own ability to know where she was even with his back to her would come in handy yet again, as she launched up with supersonic speed, Sergei would have a mere fraction of a second to attempt intercept her.  Though he had until now been holding his blade in two hands, he proved his adaptability, by swinging his sword out as far as he could on the side she was coming up on extending his arm on that side to its maximum nearly five foot reach.  Imbuing his Exercion Hunger into his strength and reaction time, he to would be moving that mass of armor and himself at relatively similar speeds to Tera own ascent.  Given the nine foot reach of his weapon when held at the base, this would place Tera dangerously close to the point of his blade, maybe even stabbing the tip into her armor as she ascended.  If she was slower and Sergei had time to readjust his horizontal space closer to her the hit would be almost guranteed.  However there would be no time for this.

The swing and power of it would switch his facing to be starring down the barrel of her gun as she fired.  The strike hitting armor plated chest instead of the back of his suit.  The power with which she struck was awe inspiring, almost like being shot at by a frigate.  Not something he wished to have happen to him again, but something he wasn't unfamiliar with.  Countless zero g battles where the enemy had been ships much larger than him had prepared him for this.  However normally in such a situation shields were up and able to take the brunt of the force shot.

Void Steel plating took the brunt of it, dispersing force around him as was it's nature, but the downward momentum imparted to him was now his enemy and not just the force.  Pressing against softer padding and finally into flesh, and bone that covered precious internal organs, the Exercion was bound to crash into the ground.  His bodies natural protection took over, shunting power from his endless hunger to cover him in a protective field of Exercion energy.  It stopped internal damage and nothing more.

As he fell, computers took over after the blast, working faster than most could think, they activated a soft landing macro around his from, creating a half bubble of denser air to cushion his fall.  However once the bubble and ground met, the pressure would do to a bubble what pressure did and pop it, causing the massive being to still hit the ground at a velocity that would of knocked out a lesser protected being.  Dust rising around him, he did not wait to check his wounds, using his knowledge of where she was, and the dust cloud to obscure him to fire off the rail slug from his new position at her own.  There was no charge, simply expending energy drawn from active spore batteries.  The slug would be propelled at super sonic speeds, intending to collide with her center of mass.  If hit, she may very well die from such a strike,  but he had faith that the Celesin Lieutenant would find a way around such a strike.

Now was the time to strike, while she dodged the rail slug.  Using his scent of her, the moment she began to move in a direction to dodge he would fire another shot at her, not a slug this time though.  This time she would find the entirety of his blade launched at the same velocity at the point she would dodge towards.  The blade itself having detached from the hilt and intending to impale her midflight.

If by some miracle she dodged both attacks, and continued towards him, she would find the mass of his swords grip extended, into something more reminiscent of a war hammer.  Ready for her to close that gap, and truly bring the pain to her.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Tera Thu Jun 09, 2016 3:18 am

The Fulminis were like hornets, constantly moving and striking, dancing in and out of engagement and keeping their foe off balance until they landed the critical blow. Tera's advantage was movement, even as Sergei spent a considerable amount of power to about face in the air had it not been for the Lieutenants full black surfaced helmet. He would have seen her lips curl into a sly grin as she fired the carbine in his face. The distance between Tera and Sergei starting to increase as he was shot back to earth.

Not even pausing to wonder how much that had to have hurt, Tera was assessing the situation and keeping with her intentions of following suit as he crashed back down to the ground. While the crash landing wasn't quite as violent as she had hoped she took note of all the protective measures her opponent had. She was going to need to wear him down then, death by a thousand cuts. Her sight never left her target, the retinal bio implants easily tracking his displacement and heat even through the dust. The implants used the neural pathways of her brain as their processing unit filling in her partially obscured vision with a real time display along her helmets HUD.

Sergei recovered himself quite well, even the Lieutenant would have to begrudgingly admit that. Yet her arrival would not stop, it wasn't so much a matter of dodging his projectiles as it was to make them unable to hit her. Once more the Lieutenant would prove her mastery of her Grav-Harness but this time instead of utilizing her tethers to move herself in relation to a given point. She placed a single tether to the slug, altering her personal gravity to become an anti-gravitational effect. So much like two magnets of the same polarity, as the slug closed it's distance to her they would pass each other by never touching. The tether/field adjusting her downwards course to a minor variance as she skirted by the slug, their proximity close enough that the electrical sparks of her gryo field caused a series of flashes in the air between the two. And the danger sense exhilarating to the Lieutenant as she brought Batons to bear, ready to strike.

Timing was critical to the likes of a Fulminis and their need for speed. Denying their opponent proper time to react was tantamount. No doubt Sergei would account for her narrow seeming dodge of the slug and fire his blade. And like the slug it was the same matter of attaching her second of four tethers to the blade and enacting the effect of the field and gravity to cause the objects to naturally avoid each other. This of course caused Tera's course towards Sergei to veer from his center of mass. Which was quite ideal given the circumstances. And most importantly the timing.

The Liutenant would be quite close to Sergei after the sword blade fired past her. With her form now off center and to Sergei's left side. Tyne swung herself towards his shoulder, coming in from overhead with the intention to drive the end of her Baton into his left collar bone as she continued past him. The strike delivered after the blade had fired but before his sword hilt could fully extend into the warhammer. Likely leaving him momentarily defenseless. With her speeds, the lightning like energy spiking from her field would lick at Sergei like a Tesla coil, a danger certainly, potentially shorting out any electronic or current based technologies he employed.

But the true danger was the MS Baton's strike, the weapons employed Magi Shock. On impact with an object the batons crystal emit a resonance that reverberated through the point of impact not just the material reality, but the immaterial as well. The resonance could be damaging, but more importantly was its role to disrupt. As every facet of the struck object would be rung like a gong had been hit. From material through immaterial, the effect should introduce an element of temporary shock. A moment of inability for the impacted and immediate surrounding areas to function or move correctly.

In this case, Sergei's left shoulder, neck and chest. Such a short lived burst might seem trivial, except when it came to a Fulminis who's ally was speed and agility. As her body passed over Sergei's shoulder she immediately planted a tether to a point in front of his form her body quickly changing direction as she rotated bringing the right hand Baton around from his rear left flank and intending swing the baton/tonfa length into a crash course with the back of Sergei's skull. Well and truly ringing his bell so to speak.

If Sergei used his brain to function and move himself, the resonance echoing through his skull should inflict a full body and function incapacitate for a brief moment. Allowing the Lieutenant who would be firmly behind the huge man the ability to go absolutely wild.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sergei-Deker Sun Jun 12, 2016 10:32 am

Sergei observed the uncanny dodge to both of his attacks,  supplementing this with his own tactical knowledge to both of her dodges he came to one of two conclusions.  Either the lieutenant was a precognitive, able to see attacks before they happened, or she was using the mass of the shots he had fired against themselves.  Either magnetic or gravitational manipulation.  Either was highly likely, and given her previous semi orbit around him in the air, he believed that gravity manipulation is what he was dealing with.  A single step in the right direction towards victory, knowledge of the battle field was a key factor in formulating a winning strategy.  She was fast as well preferring to engage from behind outside of his striking range, another key to his own victory.

As Tera came in, the electric field would not interrupt his own technology.  Spore tech did not operate on electric principles, but instead by a unique transfer of psionic energy given off by the spores.  This allowed for continued use in times where normal electric equipment might be hindered, a cultural trait from his galaxy where the main source of power was not fossil fuels, but these over abundant bio organisms.

Her course was set, and taking into account her previous tactics Sergei would strike with his own counter.  Utilizing the Exercion technique known as Hungering Flesh, he made his entire body malleable to his whim.  Sergei's upper limbs were now able to move and rotate within their joints at before impossible angles without breaking bones or even impacting his own effectiveness in combat.  And since the armor he wore was designed in a way to accommodate this facet of his biology not even the joints of his armor would stop him.

Releasing the warhammer to be to the ground, both arms raised and assisted by powerful arms and the spore jets, they would aim to grab her at his back side.   Shoulder and elbow bending at harsh and, under normal humanoid rules impossible angles, while the wrists rotated a full hundred and eighty degrees to accomodate.  Now Sergei truly could scratch his own back.  Halfway through the ascent of his arms the MS Baton struck true, causing that arm and indeed part of him to stutter as not even his natural Exercion defenses could stop an MS baton.  However they certainly wouldn't stop the force at which he moved his arms, the left arm may be momentarily useless, but it was still a mass of armor and muscle aiming to collide with her.

Before the strike to the back of his head could happen, a big meaty hand would of gripped whatever the closest limb was, and seeing as he certainly had a reach advantage here, unless there was a sudden change in her tactics, she would find an arm, leg or even parts of her center of mass gripped in a vice like grip.

The moment he met resistance in his grip, he would extend talons from the gauntlets,  unwilling to let go without causing extreme damage and he would begin to pump all of his obscene strength into his grip.   Jokingly her last shot may of been called a Daul Punch, but Sergei showed a level of strength that may of easily been on par with the Potentiae Prinoris.  In the blink of an eye he would of crushed and broken bones in multiple places where he grabbed, or if he had gripped her center of mass, he may now be shredding organs.  Wherever he touched the gauntlets would place small Psionic tethers onto her, making escape a rather hard thing to do.

Yet with broken bones or shredded organs, the Exercion would not relent.  He would not be satisfied until her death or cries to yield reached his ears.  As soon as his grip was true he would begin to swing her by whatever grip he had, aiming to smash her against the ground over and over again.  Sergei for all his talk of honor and courage, was just as brutal if not more so than the emperor that made him.

With the gauntlets now in a locked position she was welcome to try and stun baton the arm which gripped her, however stunning the locked gauntlet would not force it to release even if the hand and arm went momentarily limp.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Disgusting The thought echoed through Tera's mind as the bone and ligaments in Sergei's arms snapped and cracked, altering his anatomy in a crude way that the Lieutenant took in stride. Her thoughts on the matter didn't mean she hadn't seen or dealt with much worse. And given her position she's seen enough in her life that would scar and terrify most people all together.

While the change in anatomy was unexpected and it certainly altered her approach as striking from the rear wouldn't afford same advantages as against a normal humanoid, it did mean the Fulminis Lieutenant could let lose. It was time Sergei found out why Tera held the moniker of The Tempest. Tera's shoulder strike with the MS baton coming from above and Sergei's left flank afforded her time to react to the real threat of his right, and now pseudo left arm that intended to grab her. The baton's effect kicked in, making Sergei's left arm useless for a moment which greatly reduce the threat even if the limp arm was swinging like a flail on pure momentum now.

In a move that might surprise Sergei, Tera's grip on her batons was released, but in tandem with new placement of her four tethers. Now the Lieutenant would reveal her unparalleled ability with the grav-harness. Her first tether anchored to a point beyond Sergei's main body, but the pull was attached to the Baton that her right hand had released. Causing it to rocket from her grip in a direct path for Sergei's head. Intending to still attempt for the head shot with the Baton.

As for the incoming arm and her left baton, the second tether mimicked the first except the trajectory of the second baton was a crash course with Sergei's incoming arm that intended to grab the Lietuenant and do violence. Of course while the impact of the Baton would render his control inept for a moment if it hit, she still needed to not be in range of his reach. Utilizing the third tether which had been planted previously as a means to curve her movement around for the head strike the Lieutenant initiated it to push instead, and using the fourth tether as a guide by pushing from Tera's flank her new course of movement took her out of range of the grabbing arm and intending to circle to Sergei's opposite flank as the momentum of his potentially numbed grabbing hand from the launched baton carried it over to uselessness.

Sadly Sergei's limp left hand slapped against the Lieutenants thigh as her position shifted. The woman grunting from the pain of the impact that would no doubt leave quite a bruise, but worse triggering Tera's legendary short fuse. Her grunt turning to a snarl as the real danger was finally let lose.

Tera's free hands grew Tempest Strike, her pair of specialized blades. Upon release the Gladius' edges activated, not only resonating in high frequency vibration that would cut through most armor like butter. But charged with crackling bolts of energy that coated the blade and played off the electric layer already surrounding her gryo field. Tera was a verifiable moving lightning storm now. Her right blade held in a reverse grip rose in a violent arcing sweep that meant to cleave Sergei's hand that meant to grab her at the wrist as she moved safely beyond it's range. The left blade she rotated into a standard grip while channeling it's lightning effect to greater potency, increase the electric spikes arcing between her blades, the field and the batons.

Not only was Sergei in danger from the now four weapons the woman was wielding in flurry, but being assaulted by the battery of electric discharges akin to standing next to a violently over reacting Tesla coil. The man was a tank certainly, but how long could he endure the constant onslaught?

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sergei-Deker Sun Jun 19, 2016 12:19 am

Sergei would feel pain in both arms soon enough, those MS batons were something to be researched, someway to divert the power through material or immaterial means, he would need Sol if he could survive this fight, maybe even the Ordo mages, or even more Exercion training by the emperor. He had never encountered an enemy that could pierce his defenses like this. Celesin was living up to his wildest dreams. Though he he attempted a duck of his head as his arms rotated in weird ways, Tera's reaction to sudden slight shifts in variables would prove to great as batons struck both his arm and the back of his skull, rendering him momentarily insensible. Though superior biology on his part would force this sudden loss of focus to be brief, it was enough that his forward momentum would stutter forward with the struck right arm and send him quickly crashing to the ground.

Luckily enough for Sergei the suit of armor he wore was a living computer, one piece of it rendered temporarily useless did not mean the whole thing would crumple. Spore jets fired off quickly enough to take him just out of Tera's initial attack with her gladius and her gyro field. This gave Sergei enough time to move regain his senses and begin to go on the defensive once more. However the sensors were not smart enough to turn him around, or drag his heavy feet off the ground. This last bit helped him by dragging the now formed warhammer with him. Moving his right leg forward slightly and then kicking back harshly he would kick the full weight of that warhammer back at her, with all the strength that he could muster, enough to send it careening in a deadly hammer spin at Tera's chest. At this point one of those batons may in fact be in front of him, and if that was the case he would aim to grab the weapon and bring it up in his own defense as he spun around and aimed to block the next strike with her own weapon. If he could not for some reason grab the weapon, or it simply wasn't there his spinning defense would be a gauntlet covered fist to block the first strike. The gladius would bite into the void steel power armor, though it certainly wouldn't cleave his hand from his body, it would bite deeper than most weapons did.

His left arm which had in fact struck her, with his own psionic tethers, as both hands had activated the same macro just in case, would jerk suddenly upwards, aiming to invert Tera with her leg now in the air as the body would surely follow or risk being dislocated. Sergei would react with the weapon now in his gauntlet, pushing forward he would summon up his own Exercion's Aura. There was no time to pull the aura out, it simply was as his hunger manifested in his chosen way, a massive two handed sword suddenly existing in the air. A twin to the one whose blade had been shot off previously, and gripped easily one handed. The problem of course was that the way his hand was turned, Tera would be between the grip and the blades edge, if she had not backed away, or tried a different route of attack she may very well of impaled herself on this blade made up of his hunger.

Any number of things could of stopped him from performing his last action, more strikes to the head would render the Exercion insensible and more or less yielding by default. But should she strike him, she might find she was on the receiving end of some very real damage. Of course the electricity was not something to shunt off. He was a big thing of metal, and drew the electricity towards him by default. While the void steel could dampen it's effects, that amount of voltage was not something that could be dealt with for long periods of time without shields going active. And if that happened, the fight would be over in a moment.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Tera couldn't help but grin as the launched MS batons struck home, affording her defense from the grappling arm as well as giving her the window of time needed from the head strike. The Lieutenant had her opponent on his heels now, and she wasn't about to let up on the merciless strikes. But it seemed there was more to Sergei then just his brain, that suit seemed to kick into a defensive drive mode. Irritating, but it would hardly alter her plans now, the assault had begun.

Sergei's retreat from his arm, actually enabled a more clear shot for the second baton. As Tera quickly altered the tether pulls on her batons changing their course of direction and keeping up with the whirlwind assault. The baton that had struck Sergei's head would be launched skywards after it had struck his head. While the baton that had acted as her defense and impacted Sergei's grabbing arm would suddenly rocket once more towards Sergei's head for another direct impact. The small distance he had created with his armor suit pulling him forwards afforded a more direct and unhindered path.

Tera's movements to flank around Sergei had continued even as he moved himself forwards and kicked his hammer towards her location. Releasing one of her movement tethers, Tyne attached it to the incoming hammer as she continued her flanking movement toward Sergei's right side from behind. Whatever orientation his arms were in now. But unlike previously the Fulminis didn't use her tether on the hammer to avoid it, her continued motion would allow that, but instead she utilized the tether as a gravitational sling shot, the hammer moving past her suddenly rotated around her form, and accelerated even more from the slingshot orbit. Being relaunched right at the man himself.

Tera suddenly found herself upside down, yanked by the psionic link his brief touch had with her leg. With a snarl and a cry of pain she wondered how he could take a full strength blow from himself with the added acceleration of the orbiting slingshot effect. The hammer likely striking his center mass as he finally turned around. Assuming he was able to still turn around after the second potential head strike from the launched Baton. If not his own hammer would smash squarely into the mans large back.

Utilizing the momentum of the hammer itself, Tera used it to pull her closer to Sergei coming in finally from his true right flank. The storm of electricity dancing around her lashing out at him with what seemed a vengeance. Perhaps with her anger, perhaps in effort to remove or hinder his psychic link to her. The Lieutenant wasn't a meta being, so she was not fully intimate with what he had snared her with. Her helm's sensory only told so much, but the storm of energy might prove an effective deterrent.

His movement forwards had left her out of range to hack his wrist initially, but now she intended to thrust her left blade into the mans shoulder. As she came in from his right side. And safe from the potential blade he might still summon. Her inverted position made little difference to her, she was used to fighting in 360 degrees. And without having needed to touch the ground yet, the Lieutenant could mask the fact her leg may not have been quite under her control. Should the sword strike home, then even with that physiology of his surely severing muscles and tendons should limit his ability to utilize the limb. If not well, that first sky born Baton was already on a collision course for a third blow to the head. Tera intended to hammer his head with a storm of baton strikes until he submit or fell. The second baton was already being drawn back to her.

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Sergei had no defense for the second baton strike, unfortunately the on board computers were not smart enough to avoid such an opponent. Everything was recorded to the best of the suits abilities, and while Sergei was briefly brought into unconsciousness, Tera made good on closing the distance between them. The incoming projectile of his hammer would cause the shields natural defenses to start up, creating a hard point shielding of light and energy. This would deflect the hammer back at her, though her previous position was certainly changed by this point.

Unfortunately Sergei wouldn't have the mental clarity or knowledge of just how powerful a MSbaton might become when it had an energy field to feed off of. The incoming strike was probably much harder than Tera had intended, the singular strike causing him to rock within his helm and bloody himself. The next black out was of a more disturbing nature, the man crumpled before Tera, and if she still intended to strike she had an opportunity at his back. However the only sign that he was still even slightly active was how the electricity caused his limbs to twitch within their armored shell. The suit had powered down from the constant barrage, and now with no sub commander to give orders, it could simply not decide one what function to enact.

Too many seconds later, Sergei would become aware of the pain in his skull, and potentially through out all of his limbs from the ongoing assault. The flaw of the Exercion state was simple, by stopping his brain from functioning for long periods of time it would disrupt all of his natural defenses. He raised a hand trying to get her to stop before the big man would call out. "Yield, the honor is yours, I yield young miss, you have the victory. Allow this war dog to lick his wounds and challenge you another day when I am better suited for the task of giving you a better fight."

Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded] Empty Re: Sergei Deker VS Tera Tyne [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

The Lieutenant's rotational strafing advance meant that even as the hammer was deflected back again from the energy shield it would miss her position. But she knew the energy shield would have quite an effect on the baton, one Sergei certainly wasn't expecting. But he had surprised her with his suits automated features before. As he crumpled to the ground, her intent to drive her blade through his shoulder altered and instead she landed on his back. Her right knee pressed to his spine, while her left blade now held poised to drive into his spine, while the right blade held across the throat. Even if his neck was armored it would take little for her electrified vibro blades to cut through them. In such close proximity the electric storm was wreaking total havoc. One good hit from him and she'd be done, Tera was be cautionary.

Had this not been an actual battlefield the Lieutenant wouldn't have hesitated for a moment to kill the man. Hesitation was death, but killing him here and now might have deeper ramifications for their Empires. When his arm finally lifted and he spoke of yielding she took a long slow breath. Putting away her temper and aggression. Finally pushing off from his back and hopping back to sheathe the twin blades. As they softly clicked into their sheathes at the small of her back the arcs of energy and lightning ebbed away. Both MS Batons flying back to her hands before they collapsed into their smaller form and she clipped them to the belt of her suit.

Finally Tera removed her helmet with the soft hiss and click of the environmental seal being released. The long red strands of hair falling free, framing her face and fierce green eyes. The ferocity if battle still lingered there, and Sergei should know well the gaze of a hardened soldier. She had maintained Celesin's honor and reputation and pride today. Her stance suddenly shifted, posture straightening as her right hand moved fist to heart over the lion crest engraved in her uniform.

Celesin was a warrior culture, she would give honor where honor was due. The man had fad fought boldly and pushed her reveal her namesake. "You fought well big man. Another time then." Turning from her salute and tucking the helmet under her arm Tera made her way to the edge she had arrived from. Intent now to return home.
