Corban Beckett/Searing-Moon-Silver-Justice (Aleister is his middle name)

Post by Demon Testicles on Thu May 26, 2016 1:44 pm

Corban found himself manifesting in the middle of the arena. The first thing he felt upon being summoned was a sense of disappointment. This came from seeing his name listed the way it was. "You guys spelled my name wrong!" He cupped his hands and shouted, but it was unlikely they had on site spell check. either way, Corban prepared himself for Combat. When he was summoned, he wore An indigo loincloth. It was wrapped around his naval a few times and hung to knee level. The first thing he did was summon his armor. Across his body, bony growths surfaced from his thick pelt. It formed a set of primal, shogun like armor. It was largely asymmetrical, a lot more mass present on the left side of the body.

On his left arm, massive bony plates formed a shield over the length of his arm. In his left arm was a twelve foot yari. An eastern spear with a long straight head (which made up a foot and a half of the weapon) The body was a dull beige matte color. The head was placed in the dust at first in a resting position. He just waited for the other to get here before he did too much of anything else.

Sirhan Malar had served in the Ordo-Guard as the outsiders knew it, for many years. His vivacity sustained by the blood-line his family hailed from, tracing their lineage to the Ifrit. Clad in crimson-robes, and wrapping about his head, oiled beard hanging down his face, as slanted eyes surveyed the creature. Sirhan did not like dogs, never did, especially the one that had managed to ingratiate himself to Herzog. He would do this in her honor, even if for now he could merely stand and watch as she flirted with the enemy.

He was trained for a variety of methods all meant too focus into the martial-protection of the Ordo. As such he was always armed, even if it was not immediately apparent. His robes concealing various throwing-instruments, his sleeves smaller weapons. What was apparent however was the strange mettalic stick on his lower back, and the two sheathed swords on his left hip.

The male held the advantage in size and strength, as that armor grew. Sirhan drew from his back the stick which lengthened to about 6 feet, as xiphos leaf like blades suddenly snapped out from either end, while a rudimentary guard potruded from the twin sides just beneath the two blades. Held in his right hand he brought it back as he reached in his robes, and drew forth breathe. Oxygen interacting with innate heat, serving as a catalyst for a sudden reaction.

His left hand swept across and a red-hot circle flew from his robes at Corban, as latent energy was transferred to the razor-wheel. The chakram aimed from a rising vector towards the Huskies collarbone, as Sirhan simultaneously moved forward flourishing his glaive in his left hand beside him seeking to close in and start the battle as he controlled his breathing.

Corban focused on the one that he had challenged. His eyes narrowed from within his bony visor. This guy looked pretty tough. From what Corban observed Sirhan looked like he was in the same tier as royalty, or served alongside them. His adversary started the match by throwing a disk like weapon at him. What looked like a glowing Frisbee was launched towards him Corban's unfocused gaze stared down the flight path. After spending a moment to Judge the approach, He rotated his spear forward. The butt of his weapon swiped across the path of the chakram with intention of parrying it off course. The resulting sound was a dull clank, and unless there were some surprises in store, it would hopefully bounce across the arena floor.

When Corban gyrated the spear, a bulb roughly the size of a golf ball reacted to the heat within close proximity by flickering, but doing nothing more. At the end of it's rotation, the spear was positioned at his left side, the waist area. His right hand lead and was positioned higher on the shaft. His left hand was positioned a little further back. To prevent form being overtaken by the other warrior, He took a backward lunch. With a backward lunge, Corban began to feed the spear through his right hand with the left. He sought to jab into the nine foot mark while  Sirhan passed through it, or reached it (depending on how fast he was).

Re: Sirhan Melarr VS Corban Aleister [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sirhan on Thu May 26, 2016 3:15 pm

The dog-mans parry was the obvious reaction to the Chakram, and what the body-guard had expected. It seemed the two had more in common than Corban realized, at least professionally. But Sirhan simply went about it a different way. As the Chakram was struck, sparks would flash suddenly as embers danced, and steam ensued from the reaction of the two materials interaction, potentially blinding and burning the huskie.

The Chakram's movement saw it drawn back towards Sirhan however making a sudden sharp turn as the left hand opened and the Chakram seemed drawn to it as if through magnetism, he caught it between his thumb and two fingers before spinning it around on those same two fingers which extended upward.

He continued closing in, and with one hand on his pole-arm he shifted the front end to parry Corbans own spear, as Sirhans weapon was held under his right armpit for extra control and the Chakram suddenly was tossed again during the parry at the Huskies waist, as Sirhan took another deep breathe, and the glowing hoop seemed to shine brighter in intensity.

Re: Sirhan Melarr VS Corban Aleister [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Demon Testicles on Thu May 26, 2016 3:45 pm

Corban observed the homing quality that the chakram exerted. Rather than haphazardly settling on the coliseum ground, it returned to it's owner. There was an echo of power that resonated from Corban. Something that wasn't entirely obvious in itself, but anybody with a sense for the supernatural would feel that something almost comparable to a shift of fate had taken place.

Corban's body was slightly crouched from the lunge back he had taken. His reaction to the parry appeared to be flamboyant and over the top. Perhaps it was purely reactionary due to having to dodge the incoming disk. It looked as if he was trying to make a performance tier prance to his right. His body rotated as he moved, Turning him to face the disk. It looked as if he was drawing his spear up over his head for  what looked like the preparation from an overhead attack.

Re: Sirhan Melarr VS Corban Aleister [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sirhan on Thu May 26, 2016 4:33 pm

Corban stepped off line of the target-vector evading the red-hot razor-wheel and brought his polearm up seemingly to bring it down again. At this point Corban seemed completely open, but Sirhan was a salty-dog and this was not his first rodeo. There was something false in that opening, and their was an unnaturalness or something "off" about how the beast had movement. However there was one thing he had learned, even when the enemy had something planned, it only was effective if you did what they expected.

He planted the bottom end of his polearm into the ground, a simple gesture he turned his wrist and raised his arm straightening the glaive, as he took a breathe. He pushed off with the butt-end of the polearm as he jumped forward turning the left side of his body and raising his leg before snapping it outward to its full length as he propelled himself forward to strike the Huskie in the solar-plexus full on with his armored boot.

He exhaled during the impact if it struck, and similar to the ways of "chi" in the real world, he channeled the full force of his body-weight through the attack, only lacing it with the latent heat in his body, channeling the thermal-energy into the kinetic force meant to pass through the Huskies body, as the vaulting-side kick was initiated, as the yari-rose up.

Corban's Image was struck. The only difference was that it didn't react Like it should of. Rather than recoiling back, Corban's body appeared to decay into swirling eddies of dull gray. It was safe to assume that Corban had baited Sirhan into attacking his decoy.

As the substitute faded, Corban could be sensed a little wide of the mark of Sirhan's foot. He was visible for a moment in his natural form before another ripple of power rippled out from his person. Enemies Like Grass, He sought to maneuver to exploit his foe's flank while his chest, arms, and shoulders had been reduced to an incomprehensible blur.  He converted the area in front of him, a cone of about  ten feet long and of a sixty degree angle into a hazard zone of flurried blows.

Post by Sirhan on Thu May 26, 2016 5:12 pm

Sirhan had been tricked by the Illuision perpetrated by Corban, he had known it was bait and he still fell for it. He did not have time to curse his ill-gamble, his movement had moved him further from Corbans body, buying him just enough time to react, but not much more than that as the hazard zone was created, he managed to evade some of it, by virtue of the thermo-charged momentum of his kick, but he did suffer a minor wound across his corresponding shoulder before rolling, and narrowing his gaze at the Huskie as distance was again gained. He raised his left hand recalling the chakram, the gesture causing it to make a sharp turn and cut across Corbans body from beside him and then back to Sirhan, though the chakram was not as heated this time. Sirhan could tell this opponent would require more than basic-effort to take out. He would not shame his house.

Corban lunged to press his offense. Corban moved in to press the advantage that he had created for himself. As the fellow spear man made his evasive attempt, Corban chambered his shield at his left side. His right hand supported the spear which was also chambered. While the other rolled, Corban lunged as the other would be recuperating from his tumble. As he moved, something collided with his side. Thorny pieces of bone were sheered off. The bone plating served to protect his body from lacerations. He winged his elbow shut from reflex and sought to catch it with his elbow and force it flat against his bone plate. This distracted him extensively though, so his pursuit was delayed.

His body was hunched forward. He was squaring off in a lower stance. The objective of this was to reduce the size of his torso so he could easily conceal a good portion of his trunk behind the cover of his shield. The jointed oval shaped shield was held 30 degrees off of vertical with his yari head positioned below it.

Sirhan blinked slowly, and his eyes shined a brighter shade of crimson as he took a deeper breathe. The element of air, joining with the heat generated by his blood and body. A slight haze of heat rippling about his body as he maintained his breathe control. The Chakram did exactly it meant too, and brought Sirhan time. He rose quickly and his skin glowed hot red, as he turned in place and brought both hands to his polearm. He circled his legs behind him, in a flourishing movement meant to bring him back, as heat was transferred into the sandy ground, while his movements kicked up dust, heat transferring into the dust as his movement carried him further back and the maelstrom kicked up as he rotated the polearm above his head as that too began to glow red hot. Essentially gaining distance and generating a barrier of heat and earth around him, breathing steadily as he did so.

There was a new echo of power. This one resonated a little more prominently than the last. This one Caused Corban's Eyes to light up as well. From glacial blue to bright silver rings. It became more obvious now that he was using more potential than he was before.

The first effect activated was a movement charm. A pact was created in which Corban parted with essence in exchange for chasing power of Furious Hound Pursuit. A new, unsettling and predatory quality had entered his eyes. His strides appeared to elongate. It caused his legs to cover preternatural distances. It allowed Corban to cover  one yard greater than what Sirhan was traversing.

Stepping into the sweltering heat, the fireman could see through Corban's visor, that his eyes had narrowed considerably. It was as if enduring the pain of whipping sand and fire before appearing as if he weren't even in a hazardous environment to begin with. Moonsilver-Adaptation.

He continued to stride towards Sirhan. His shield arm had shifted closer to his body. Almost as if connecting with his breast plate. His spear remained down in that low position it had begun. Corban Had one objective in mind; close in. His form was still low, Hunched forward as it was stated prior.

Sirhan felt the power change around the armored-husky? Another illusion? Maybe or perhaps an attack laced with it. He did not concern himself with where the huskie appeared and was more concerned with where he could possibly be. The blazing whirlwind picked up speed, as the ground grew hot and cracked, and rose around Sirhan as his full body retreat, and spiral stopped, but not the spinning of his polearm. No it maintained the burning maelstrom as embers sparked around the area. Even if Corban came from the front, back, or flanks, the omni-directional presence of the measure would cover Sirhans positioning forcing Corban to breech it. The whirlwind surrounding Sirhan around 5 feet in circumference and rising to about 12 feet. Sirhan continued to breathe and the vermilion hue lacing itself into the debris began to flash to a more azure tone... As Corban sought to close in he would be caught in the heat, steam, embers, kinetic-force, and debris.

Corban Had effectively immunized himself Against the elements of heat within the whirlwind. Experiancing the boiling temperatures the moment prior allowed for his body to adapt thanks to the essence that he had activated.  wind whipped over his visor and tugged at the moisture in his eyes, but this was combated by narrowing them to form a protective barrier with his eyelashes.

Provided Sirhan Had eventually stopped moving. Corban's movements returned to normal. Rather than covering close to ten feet with each stride, he went back to his typical seven. His charge was constant unless there was something that could truly cause his step to falter. His adversary's polearm continued to rotate in front of him; Corban could only trust to perceive through his narrowed eyelids. He thrust his shield forward He aimed to catch the weapon in it's rotation.

As for his spear, it pivot and shifted as he took careful preparation to prepare for his following attack. Depending how well The Half-djinn's sight was in this micro-hurricane of heat, He might have been able to notice the Chakrim wasn't under his arm anymore.

Re: Sirhan Melarr VS Corban Aleister [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sirhan on Sat May 28, 2016 2:49 pm

It seemed the Husky was impervious to the heat now, Sirhan was not out of ideas yet though. As the heat transferred to the surrounding area as its medium, it gave him some control of that Medium. The ground became softer as the Husky closed in, and hotter. Enough to melt standard boots easily, but more importantly even if the Huskie was immune to heat, the aforementioned rising earth made the terrain dangerous to navigate, and Corbans vision was compromised.

When the polearm struck the rim of the shield, it bounced back, and by virtue of its nature as a stick, when one side was sent one way, another invariably moved opposite. Taking advantage of this fact, he adjusted his grip to bring the left lower butt/blade up from the ground towards the Huskies legs from Corbans right to left just above the knees, just as Corban prepped his follow up. The Jann simultaneously taking a deep breathe which would suddenly cause all the ash and heat to suddenly dissipate as his eyes flashed crimson, and his body increased in the intensity of its glow. The strike of Sirhan's weapon within reach of the Husky since Corban had opted to bash-block with his shield. It was aimed at the lower legs and the xiphos like blade flashed white-hot, at the zenith of intensity and comparable in potency to that of a lightsaber only with solid-force behind it.

As the counter-attack ensued Sirhan tilted to his left with his attack, leaping off the ground with both legs, initiating an actively accelerated and metaphysically charged acrobatic maneuver akin to an aerial cartwheel, that would place him to the Huskies far right, where the flourishing pole-arm would then continue the momentum of the previous strike revolving over his head but only for a moment.

Given the visual impairment, his lack of awareness of the Secondary head prevented him from Dealing with it accordingly. The bony growth of splinted armor was struck. A deep gauge was cut through the plates banded around his leg. The material smoked and blackened as it was singed. A flesh wound was opened beneath, but nothing that grievously wounded him. Given his adaptation, his blood seeped through entirely unaffected by the heat.

The sudden clarity had Corban opening his eyes which continued to emit silvery light. He straightened his stature immediately. Raising up to his full height whilst redirecting his spear swiftly. In consideration with Sirhan's trajectory, Corban lead a two handed thrust to meet with Sirhan's flight path. His right hand lifting the shaft straight up whilst the left joined below and fed the shaft through his right. It was intended for the half-djinn's trunk.

He immediately Persued the Djinn. His movement enhancement was enough to mitigate the slowing effects of navigating through the semi-molten slag that had been created. The movement was normalized. It blackened the bony constructs that formed his boots.

Re: Sirhan Melarr VS Corban Aleister [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sirhan on Sat May 28, 2016 3:42 pm

The point of the Acrobatic evasion was to dodge, and being actively accelerated in his motion this time Sirhan was ready, but so was Corban. The Husky had wisely opted to hold his position and thrust, despite what Sirhan thought would have hobbled the giant fur-bag. However given how Corban would have to shift his balance and aim, and Sirhans own acrobatic nature plus the fact he was enhancing his speed it was safe to say he was simply too fast for the spear to line up with him in mid-dodge considering the Husky also had to tend to the wound upon his leg at the same time, which may have cost a slight delay or compromise in movement capacity even if very briefly. Corban might notice the wound he had scored on Sirhans shoulder had been cauterized shut now.

The slagged ground was cooling now, Sirhan having drawn back that heat to power his body and his movements. As Corban closed in, Sirhan stood his ground, holding his own weapon like a spear and closed in as well, both ends of the weapon glowing white hot.

After missing his mark, Corban continued to advance as was stated before. He left the hazard zone and Closed in on the Fire-blood while he touched down.  Another echo of power resonated through their inter-dimensional arena As Corban Activated more of his potential.

From where Sirhan stood his ground, he could see Corban Rearing his spear back “Aiiyeee!” His high pitched voice resonated within his helm. His left arm Crossed Cover the right's arm pit, as his right arm was held up over his head, spear had been pivoted to face down at Sirhan. There was a slight of hand that took place behind his shield that Sirhan would not see.

His Spear arm Flailed out towards his right and back around in a wide arc. From up high, it looked like he was making a flamboyant draw down towards the thigh/hip. Much like before, He had become strangely choreographed. Actions that almost looked like they belong in a circus, not an arena.

Re: Sirhan Melarr VS Corban Aleister [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

Post by Sirhan on Sat May 28, 2016 5:11 pm

Sirhan wondered who had taught this creature, it had the bearing of an experienced fighter, even so the powers at its disposal might simply be too overwhelming for the Jann. He was not going to let that stop him. Honor demanded he fight regardless. He had a few tricks up his sleeve, but all involved the same thing, and fire and martial-skill did not seem to be doing the trick here.

Even so he had yet to hit the creature with everything he had. He would begin to do so now. Body moving with quickness  that exceeded human limits, as blood-fire coursed through his veins, augmenting the natural abilities of the body by infusing the chemical-reactions with that much more potency. He took another deep breathe and his body exploded it would literally seem that way, as the force of a few grenades emanated from his form as the earth was seared around him, while the force created a crater and pelted and buffeted the husky possibly interrupting his sleight of hand, and forcing him back.

Ablaze now, an aura of white-plasma eminated and enshrouded Sirhan. The "Blazing-Aura" was considered a "masters-technique" that took years to achieve, being able to handle the "white-fire" was something else entirely, that even fewer of Ifrit descent could boast to have achieved. It marked Sirhan as an exceptionally skilled and talented Jann, which was further supplemented by years of experience. Accolades mattered little in battle, but this was Sirhan going all out.

Ablaze in the searing heat, he drew in oxygen through the plasmatic-fire an accelerated pace, as the fire "breathed" along with his body, becoming almost one in the same. He made a stomp, and the heat transferred from his body to suddenly destabilize the earth under the huskies feet causing it to erupt into molten slag, as it began to get gradually harder to breathe oxygen in Sirhans vicinity. The Eruption was not large, only meant to force the Husky to react but it was still hopefully a threat and could bypass the fire adaptation Corban had achieved earlier. Sirhan waited poised with his pole-arm, his right hand dominant and crouched, his right leg leading after the stomp. ("Blazing-Aura" 1/5 posts)

The explosion was responded to with a preternatural parry. His slight of hand was interrupted to prevent from being overtaken by the force of the exploding jenn. By extending his Limb shield, he was able to part the kinetic force. The ground crumbled beneath him, dissolving into scalding hot muck. he only had to keep moving. He began to strafe around Sirhan, orbiting towards his own left whilst facing the fire-blood.

His armor had started to char and blacken as the intense heat sought to activate the residual Carbon in the surface. The air quality was rapidly dropping, but the power he had activated before was soon utilized to protect his respiratory tract. He was breathing in the byproducts of combustion, but his body had been programmed with Fertile Breath Inversion to avoid asphyxiation.

So far, Corban has presented above all the ability to adapt to his foe. His martial prowess was capable and his choice of defenses were appropriate to what he had hoped to face. He kept his distance now, Expecting the fire-blood to do what all flames did when given enough time; burn out.

The charm may have protected one from smoke-inhalation and other harmful-agents, but there was still a lack of actual O2, or rather it was all being sucked up into the sweltering heat of the blazing aura, though little by little, as the heat-zone began to expand not from the aura's actual broadening, but from the sheer intensity of its core, which was affecting a wider radius due to the sheer potency of its heat. Creating layers of plasma around like a miniature sun, though he was of course not a living star, and this was obviously a metaphor in the microcosm of this bout. The further most area orange, the middle area blue, and his body itself white, with two eyes of crimson.

He made a jab, a strange one in fact as he made a quick errant thrust between Corbans legs, though sheer proximity would be a danger, any touch to the blades was as mentioned akin to touching a light-saber. What was strange about the thrust, was that it was not actually aimed at Corbans body, and that it obviously left Sirhan open...

It programmed his body to avoid asphyxiation. That means when the environment lacked oxygen, His essence enabled him to respirate. Corban had also been trying to keep his distance from this supernova of an adversary. It was safe to say that the brightness alone was going to cause issues. Corban was narrowing his eyes again to protect them from the ludicrous illumination. His vision once more reduced to a crescent of it's formal field.

Corban, whose appearance was of an gnarled bony shogun had started to make a keen effort to keep a bit of distance between himself and Sirhan. When the Thrust came in for his bent knees, He reacted by pushing off into a backwards lunge. His orbit around the Jenn had been interrupted so that he could evade the haphazard low thrust that had been made.

The searing heat of the Nova was causing his Yari to warp. The edges of the blade had started to glow. The entire body had begun to warp slightly as the excited molecules pushed against each other. The spherical stone at the end had begun to glow brightly as it sought to absorb the energy around the yari's body. The effects of thermal reaction still set in due to the fact that the flow was unrelenting. Very soon, Corban was going to be disarmed.

Post by Sirhan on Tue May 31, 2016 1:40 pm

It seemed some progress was being made, in the corrosion of Sirhans weapon, but Corban was welcome to wait for Sirhan to burn out, whether that was the right strategy to take time would tell. He could only sustain the Blazing-Aura for a few more moments, and as Corban stepped back, the polearm buried itself in the dirt, transferring its heat into the ground.

Sirhan manipulated the vector of that heat and focused it in a steady stream across a radius of 25 feet or so to create a cluster of exploding pillars, one of which was directly beneath where Corban was stepping into, as well as various other small pillars surrounding the area.

Sirhan raised the Polearm up afterwards rotating it around his head gathering in the embers of dust and heat, and drawing them in from the surrounding dome of heat the attack had created concentrating it once more in a twister which would surround him similar to before. (Blazing Aura: 3/5)

Re: Sirhan Melarr VS Corban Aleister [Class B, Ranked] [Concluded]

By now, the front of Corban's armor was coated in a fine layer of char. Almost like his armor was coated with obsidian rather than the off white color of bone. It was a bit less complete on his backside, forming blotches and streaks according to the artificial “solar wind” that was coming from Sirhan's body.

Corban's main goal was creating distance between them. As he did before. He kicked off from his first lunge and into a second. Large chunks of dirt, rock, and slag (depending on the state of the ground he stabbed) pelted Corban's form. First thing he wanted to do was avoid the blast radius. His form could weather the shrapnel formed. and took to running away from Sirhan. He ran to the right, His path was that of a spiral. Not turning his back entirely on the plasma bender, but enough to acquire some distance.

Sirhan Had started to form what looked like a firestorm. A twisting column of combustibles and fire. The sight was intimidating in it's own way, so when met with the sight of a gargantuan twister, He chose to activate another portion of his dwindling essence pool.

Sirhan gathered the heat around him into twin crackling pillars which would join at their zeniths above Sirhan creating a glowing globe above him, that would then fire off a volley of heat-darts like a firing-squad at Corbans general viscinity, the globe shrinking slightly with each hit as the darts would strike the dirt in their wake causing explosions and transferring the heat into the area, the darts struck omni-directionally sirhan ready for an illusion this time, though perhaps Corban would "parry" again. The crescendo was coming.

Corban watched the twisters converge. The result was a great glowing singularity above Sirhan that had started to throw small, yet potent darts. The barrage seemed to come from all sides. They all over. Around, in front of, behind, and into Corban's form. He was hoping to bob and weave around most which he could see coming. They exploded at his feet and into his body causing his pace to slow to avoid tripping all together.

As the explosions overlapped his body, bits of his blackened armor were broken off and cracked. The ground around him was super heated and broken as the heat was absorbed around him. He took a knee and drove the butt of his warped yari into the ground. He had hopes of stabilizing the ground by absorbing some of that transferred heat.

One of those missiles was caught by the side of the head. Concussion washed through his head and deafened his ears. Part of his helm was peeled away to reveal a reeling expression as he succumb to intense vertigo. His reaction was to shield his face with his shield.

The finale had come, as the heat was gathered by the earth, whatever of it absorbed by the yari, being negligible. The area around both of them akin to a volcanic wasteland Sirhan gathered it up around him, trapping the Huskie in the thermal barrier as all of the heat was recalled back to Sirhan one final time, and he closed in with the Huskie with a hopping leap and plunged his polearm into the dirt, channeling all the gathered heat into the weapon and then the ground, creating a sudden flare for a radius of a city block.

The result would leave a massive crater, smoking and glowing in various places as the ground warped the very area Sirhan had landed. He would be using his polearm as a walking aid. Leaning on it and gasping heavily.

The world was on fire all around the half-caste. As he slowly came too enough to realize that he was in a very hazardous zone, He activated what was probably going to be his last charm. His divinity just a caste-off of his fathers. Sure, he could take a punch from a living star, but that was all he really knew how to do.

The last thing of Corban that Sirhan would see as he came down was the canine Setting his body as if he was going to pounce. Did he seek to meet the other mid flight? His essence bled out from his body and in an instant, he was gone with Flowing Body Evasion. The explosion ripped through the arena, tearing up the otherwise stable ground and super heating the entire venue.

He would have to look near the outer threshold to find Corban. He appeared a moment after the ripping force of the explosion had passed through. The entirety of his remaining pool had been activated to achieve the perfect dodge, something like an instant transition.

Other than converting essence, there was another price for such a seamless evasion. He was observed on his hands and knees. He stared at Sirhan. One eye narrowed behind his visor, the other fully exposed as the left portion of his helm had been blown away. His face featured a complex expression. The burning initiative to stand up and take stance was present, but on the other hand, otherworldly calmness, encased him. In that position he stayed.

Sirhan stood gasping and breathing hard. Feeling more than his age. This guy was still around, that was everything he had. Whatever else he had were but tricks, or desperate ploys. Perhaps he had managed to test the Huskies reserve, he was surprised that this creature was still alive much less conscious and still capable of battle.

He could press the offense now, instead he hoisted his polearm from the ground and leveled it forward with right hand dominant, his body posture lowering as he went into the traditional spear stance and waited as well.

Corban was forced to endure the rest of the price for utilizing that charm. It wasn't until Sirhan had fully readied himself that Corban was able to move. He chose to repair his sundered armor. An imperfect mending process took place where the bony structure had started to weave back together, but just stopped. The broken off and destroyed portions only recovered a mesh like weave. Not as elaborate or decorative. It gleamed almost radiantly against the charred surface of the rest of his body.

He stood and drew his shield over his right shoulder. Almost as if supporting a wounded arm. He wasn't holding his yari anymore. It lay on the ground alongside him. Mangled and still glowing read hot. The fingers of his right hand splayed while his hand was help up in a diligent position along his ribs. His stance was wide and alert.
